most of the rock you buy will have some fairly nasty stuff in it any way so you dont really need anything else, some people will chuck in a mussel or something to kick it off
not sure, its not growing to fast so i thought that is would be something else, i was just checking out some pics on the net and some of the macros are really nice, its a shame more people dont use them in their displays
when using the flat worm exit i used some nasty carbon that released alot of dust into my tank (even after a really good rinse)
it now coats all my rocks and when it lands on various acros/montis it causes tissue necrosis very quickly.
now im planning on moving every thing into the sump for my new tank while i wait for every thing to be setup. but i dont want this nasty stuff to carry over into my new system, i did a water change last night and tried syphoning it off but it didnt want to come off (caked on) so how do i get rid of it with out scrapping all my rock and starting again
always a good idea to support the whole base of the tank, try your local building suppier to see if they have some of cuts of ply, itm has some really good ones here in the tron
the main thing you need is a suitible food source (rotifers) some people have them it just a matter of how easily they will part with a culture for you.
best place for help with breeding marines is the breeding section on reefcentral.com
where abouts are you macca?
you dont have to do any thing that i did, i was just saying howmuch it would cost someone to set it up.
does anyone else have a clown fish that is afraid of pens???
you should be buying your saltmix from murray. (probably the same price as brian but at least murrays got corals for us)
i forgot the heater:D
big is easier and doesnt cost all that much more,
