    Frags

wasp and steve always have a few things
  5. cant see that, no-one would be able to afford kids if it cost that much. 4 kids costing 700,000 each, totaling 2.8 million. in 20 years the average Nz'er would earn 800000. maybe they are taking into account the moocher's that live with their mums untill they are thirty.
  6. i'd rather pay for a kid than a reef tank anyday (untill they are teenagers anyway)
  7. its interesting having the clown around me all day, i have noticed a few things. first of all it wants to be fed all the time, silly fish second he actually nips small pods off the glass this morning he was even hunting some larger pods, i always thought they didnt eat pods.
  8. this one in steve wests tank is a beauty to http://www.oregonreef.com/images/photos/p_032_l.jpg
  9. nothing wrong with chromis'. they where my first marine fish (back when they cost 45$ each last year)
  10. good old petworld, what fish did you get?
  11. where did you get them from? didnt think there would be a marine store in huntly
  12. i should take a pic of the crap my weirpro takes out of my tank no point having a tank if you cant see it through the bubbles that your expensive skimmer is making
  13. ive had two corals die and lost a few frags (as in lost in the rockwork never to be found), my first death was one of the first corals i got (a large toadstool) it didnt like the transition and my tank wasnt ready for it either, second coral was a staghorn (one of my first acro's) that got picked at continuosly by a coral beauty. i think my current setup is one of the most simple around but except for a few setbacks (flatworms) my tank was showing alot of promise. rueben can attest to some of the acro colours i had previous to the flatworms that i never took pics of.
  14. other than that i'd probably say some kind of fancy wrasse and a neat prawn goby that i can never remember the name of (it comes from japan though and has awesome finnage)
  15. when i move to america/australia/anywhere other than NZ this is what ill be getting
  16. not even my weirpro does that, i guess you cant call that deltec a skimmer as well then.
  17. where abouts are you? is your tap water from the rain?
  18. i liked it better the first way you had it reef.
  19. dont change any more water untill the nitrites are at 0, just a waste of water.
  20. lol, thats a good one steve, her location is waikato, fay is in port waikato. any fish in there yet? what are your nitrites reading at?
  21. that sounds fairly normal to tell the truth, do you have any thing in the tank other than the stock tank/filter/light???
  22. if the reason is that im not prepared to throw away my money then fine, i never even wondered about why they didnt have books as ive always thought of them as a place to buy live stock and equiptment not books
