i was talking to a guy over in singa, he was using a beckett very similair to what ill be getting but 1foot taller, he was using a md55 and said that would overflow the smaller skimmer, ill probably upgrade to the md55 if i ever get enough head space for the taller beckett

yeah, ive heard mixed reveiws about the rio's but in the end they are cheap and a pump can always find another use, that price must be pretty tempting chimera, not enough room under my cabinet (or wallet) for something like that though

the rio is reccomended for this size skimmer so ill be more than happy to use it, if i find that i need to upgrade the pump its no loss as i can always use it else were

not that i ever expect anything positive from you about anything other than deltec reef but why do you feel the need to critisize my decision about which skimmer will work best for my setup and also provide future upgrade possibilities????????

im getting the BS1-606, and i'll use the rio20hf that they reccomend. if i ever upgrade to a bigger tank when we have more space (should that be when??) i'll just buy the extension tube for the skimmer and a md55.

i was contemplating them but i havent had enough feedback to justify the expense of an untested skimmer, i have seen the response of oceanwerx customers and so im confident ill be getting value for money.

well the new equipment is on order from ocean werx, should be made and ready by next month, cant wait to get that package. filled my tank half way last night just to test things. i will fill everything up this or next weekend. just waiting to see if NSW is going to work out

there are a few water containers on trade me, all about 1000l. i think there is a place in auckland that does them for a bit cheaper

cool. need to fill mine up, have you tested your pumps? just interested to see how the closed loops do

slappers lionfish would oh and his platapus. sometimes you see nasty infections on RC and the people going to hospital, i think most have had a cut or something that gets infected.

dont use gloves myself. if i were to use them i would invest in some nice ones designed for a reef tank (no coatings or anything) that you reuse.

im already nano'd out. wouldnt mind setting up a little diamante tank though, with 4 veiwable sides. hmmmmmm. no i will wait for my big tank to be up and running

you mean the drawing fay??? thanks my wife has decided im allowed my chrismas presents early so ill be getting some nice surprise's for the tank in about a month. (skimmer/calcium reactor etc)
