as for the plecos they are both happy as larry they hang out together all the time no fighting and they are both healthy and eat alot. as for the not coming out because of high light they are both out for 70 - 80% of the time the lights are on so in the end it worked out fine.

I use rowaphos seems good never had any issues with it

a blue stripe damsel it was only going to be in this tank temporarily and yeah i go to the miramar vets quite often as its just down the road but they just have the same stuff as everywhere else usualy

latest pics from the nano! alls going well have some new frags on the way next week and once the big fw tank is sold ill be getting bigger tank for everything in this one to go into tank is in need of a water change but have to wait till more salt arrives on monday was ment to get the first fish for it last week but the bloody lfs sold it after i had asked them to put it on hold for me and it dosent look like they will be getting anymore in anytime soon

the only other name i can find for them is a "ternate damsel" also wondering if these others are allowed/in the country?? Chromis limbaughi Chromis insolata/sunshine chromis (i actualy think i have seen these in the lfs altho they said it came in under the name neon stripe damsel which is a totaly different looking fish judging by google searches) Chromis nitida/barrier reef chromis cheers for any help

picking up a arcadia 120cm 2x150w metal halide and 2 x t8 light fitting tonight so this will finaly be a high tech tank haha im going to try set up the lights so i have the 2 54 t5s going aswell as the t8s and halides. ALGAE COME AT ME! :thup:

Well i got mine from aquaworld so im assuming these guys got theres from the same as they sent mine in the same way bags of water instead of heat packs

couldnt give you a exact price but i would say its at least $1500 tank was $250 then lights were $450 then theres all the other stuff like pump, wave maker, sand, salt, corals, live rock, filter media, cuc and so on but a little birdy has told me there are soon to be some awesome all in one nanos comming out specificly for salt water with good quality gear that should not need to be upgraded and they wont be too badly priced (not made by a big name company but combining the best gear from the big name companys to create a awesome all in one package)

nope no chiller running on this tank there is a stc-1000 temperature controller which is hooked up to the heater and fan and the other box is the light control box

im pretty shure i know the place you are refering to they are from ak and i got some frags and snails sent to wellington from them they used the same method and as you say the bags were stone cold when they arrived here to, not to mention not one of the frags i recieved looked anything like the photos they advertised them with and one of the frags had been lying face down in the bag flattening most of the polips and it is the only frag that is still yet to open up the flattened polips have since died off and ive gone from a frag with around 20 - 30 down to a frag of around 5 polips that are yet to open but they do look like they are trying to so hopefully they will as it was my favourite of the 3 i purchased :env: :an!gry &c:ry

right as promised update time! so tanks been looking awesome ever since the algae has disappeared hair algae is gone and so are the daitoms but there is some bubble algae hanging in there so slowly removing it when i can. also got some joes juice the other day and used it on every aptasia i could see and it seems to have done the trick think they are mostly gone have seen a couple small ones popped up today so got them as well. also stopped in at wonderworld on saturday on the way up to auckland for the night and had a chat to the guy there who told me they have perc clowns on order at the moment and they should arrive next week and be ready 3 weeks after that so all going well the tank will get its first fishy inhabitants in around a month or so :thup: also i have started seeing heaps and heaps of these little bugs scurrying around the tank and i have no idea what they are dose anyone know?? close up lots on the sand anyways heres some pics there are quite a few sorry hope yall enjoy (comments, criticism and suggestions welcomed) FTS blue fts new mushroom rock and palys/zoa rock added friday right side left side close ups top down temp and lighting control and one last shot to finish off

just got back from a overnight mish from wellington to auckland to pick up my mates new bike 2002 cr250 took it for a quick thrash down the gravel road where the kid we got it off lived.....very fast and very loooose haha im seriously considering getting another bike now :slfg: definately another 2 stroke. ive had a rm125, crf230 and the rmz250 but i think this time itll be ither a cr250 or rm250 cant beat the smile a 2 stroke puts on your face when its running full tit and your holding on for dear life pulling wheelys in 5th gear haha
