Interesting, tank sits around 26.5 and it gets about 25% at least once a week sometimes twice or more if I am doing work in there and remember.
If they dont live very long, why on earth do so many people want them so badly?
$30 odd bucks for a fish that lasts less than a year does not sound like value for money for me
ummm Blue? I have no idea of the type that they are, but they look diffrent to all the ones that I have seen around town recently. I would of thought if it had dided and decompsed I would of smelt or seen something, but there has been no signs of that at all. And I had no idea that they are hard to keep.
I just had a wave maker turn up that I got off ebay. they sent it with the power adaptor plug thingy ( i dont know what its called) but it doesnt fit NZ plugs.
A. what are they called?
B. how much do they cost.
C. where to get them?
Thanks cam
I started with 5 rams, now I have one. no signs of any dead fish in or around the tank. stocked with guppies and some small plecos.good lids that are on all the time except for water change day.anyone have any ideas on what has happened to them?
:sml1: umm yeh I kinda do.... Just had a look tardie but thats not what I was looking at last time. Last time it was kinda like a regulator that could run 6 tanks
Nah single bottle set up. Trying to run several planted tanks on the one bottle. I have seen them for sale on tard me but cant remember what they are called. So a 2 way needle valve is what I am looking for?
Funny you say that, I was wondering roughly how much the long term savings will be. Problem is I am still gunna have 4 or 5 tanks inside so It may not save all that much
Yes very helpful, thank you very much. I personaly have no experience with batts, but my mums partner instals them for a living ( hence the free accses to them) so I will get him to lend a helping hand with them.
I will still have sevral display tanks inside the house for me to perv on, the room will more be for breeding, playing with ideas and plants. More smaller tanks over bigger ones.
Thank you reef will take all of that into account
Cool thank you for that insight, I will take it on board. I have just had a quick measure up on the room, it will roughly be around 2.5M wide by 5M long, so nearly double the room of my current room  !drool:
