  1. Floating indian fern coukd be another option if you are putting a light in the tank
  2. My first albino oscar. It did not have a single drop of black on it, I regretted selling it the minute it left.
  3. I would avoid the angels and probably the shark as well with the neons, how ever some of the bigger tetras may be okay with them.

Hmmm I am still working out how to put photos from my phone onto the interweb/computer.

    Sex me please

Male or Female? Thanks in advance.
  6. Haha it said 4-6 weeks until the first one arrives. I have just orderd the ply so the magazine should arrive just at the right time lol
  7. Dam you all. That's yet another expense that is fish related.
  8. It comes with a sump, but I do not want to use it. It is leaking somewhere from the plumbing (easy enough to fix, but I can not be bothered). I am thinking about the amount of room I have and I will be able to get more tanks in my room without using the tank and sump together. Was thinking the same or some silicon possibly. Maybe a good idea as well. No sorry, I am going to pull it apart ans use it as a tank again.
  9. Is that just screwing a cap fitting onto them?
  10. I am getting a 6 foot tank in the weekend. It is drilled for a sump and is currently running one. I however do not want to run the sump. How do I go about sorting out the inlet holes in the base? The tank is nearly 1000L so I do not really want to bugger it up. It has Hansen fittings on the holes for now. Can you get bungs to block it or should I look at getting a bit of 10mm glass and covering them like you would a cracked base? Or replace the base?
  11. Have you got any pictures of your room?
  12. Thanks all. Mini lops are on the list.
  13. Thank, I will do that soon.
  14. Thanks for that. I will look into it. Hopefully it is cheaper than PLY, cause man alive that stuff is expensive.
  15. Yip, it is rather quite in there now.
  16. Good point, will have a look at that over the weekend.
  17. We had planned on letting them out often, our yard is well fenced, so we are hopefully rabbit proof. Noted on the handling and food requirements.
  18. Yeah it is getting there. Working on the PLY now. So fingers crossed two or three weeks until that is up.
  19. Thanks guys! What about the best breed that size wise?
  20. Also if we get two, would two males or two females be the best option?
  21. So my partner and I have been discussing getting a rabbit or two for our little girls and over the weekend we got given a hutch. I like the bigger ones, but for logic reasons, I think our hutch is too small for a big one. So what are the smaller types in NZ? Also what are some basics of them for keeping them friendly and alive. Thanks
  22. The room is now all blacked out and batty. Hopefully I have not missed or forgotten something, I have been filling any crack or gap I see with expanding foam so hopefully there will be no draft. I have decided on 9mm Ply for the room lining. So that is the next task to take on.
