i got one for my bristlenoses, they havent really used it in the 3 weeks its been in there, but i just gave it a rinse and placed it in :happy2:

cant wait to get my first chiclids :happy2:

nice fish tank!

Hey everyone, have my first tank set up and is 'mid cycle' now. I have been advised that i now need to get some plants in there. I am after some advice on low tech planting and lighting. My tank is all glass and is L76cm x H47 x W36 = roughly 130L . Can someone please recommend Plants/Lights and or what else i need to plan on getting. Thanks Everyone

sounds all confusing to me haha! :facepalm: but i guess the main thing is just relax a bit in my eyes, its going to take time for the filter to cycle, its only been in 10 days.

This is Stability, recommended by my LFS but anmimates says use Ammolock http://www.hollywoodfishfarm.co.nz/detail/view/seachem-stability-100ml/m/1246/

Thanks for all the feed back, so i should do 25% water change daily and put ammolock and prime in each time? and no longer use stability?

If someone could give me / sell me some of this , i would apreciate it. If anyone can tell me a good cycle of how to water change and what chemicals to put in would be awsum also.

im new to this stuff, i don't have any friends with tanks or that are into this. All i can do is take the advice that people give me.

i got told to stop using ammolock, becuase its locking it in at a unsafe level

So i took a sample of water into my LFS on sat, ammonia is still of the chart on the API freshwater master test kit. I have now got my own API freshwater master test kit and just did a test, my ammonia is still dark dark green looking at 8.0ppm+ . My new canister filter has been going for 8 days now, and been doing water changes every 3 days @ 30% water. Been feeding the fish every second day. Ive been adding in Prime after every water change and been adding Stability once a day since i put the new filter in. Does what im doing sound like im on track for my Ammonia to start dropping any momment now?
