  1. let Caryl decide. I am OK with any decision.
  2. happy to hear from any one for the ideas, I did not want to start the arguement. but some one seems being too rude.
  3. hi bro , not trying to offence... this is only a discussion thread. any ideas come up can help saving his little life is welcome here. it is grateful that I saved him, which now you call it an 'animal abuse'. So, ..what if you are me, when you have done all yoour ways with spending ova $100 on treatment and the tumor is just getting worse. what are you considering to do, just sitting down, sipping a cup of coffee and watching him struggling and dying in there. and then you come around shame people who can really solve the issues (.....wow, sounds exactly same as what is always happenning in the moves) I do take people's advise and have been to local pet store to find some solutions. however, all I can hear is 'furan 2' which is really costly, I have run out of two full packs. Do you think it should or should not be taken count of... right here, what is an 'animal abuse' honestly? give a read of Animal Welfare, Animal Abuse and Cruelty in NZ. according to the act, I am physically handling in a manner which minimises pain or distress protecting him from the disease,,, not abusing him. others please make your decisions of judging who is right or wrong. the result tells all, and make sure you dont abuse animal when you are intending to buy some fish n chips. even if you a eating fish and chips, please dont chew, just swollow the whole fish to reduce his pain :sml2:
  4. hole in head is an internal symptom mostly for Cichlid world. it wont show much signs from outside
  5. I caught him in a net and held him in the water with his tumorrd eye sideup. and broke the tumor (not cut off) tip a a little furan 2 on the wound. put him back in the water, add 1 and half dose Furan 2 in to water. the eye was bleedly badly. two days later, I found the tumor is way smaller!!! pratical experience tells furan2 is perfect for a opend wound. Now two packs of Furan2 treatment is over, very costly  . start Melafix treat at least he is getting there
  6. thnx. he is getting better
  7. treatment in day ..###@2%*$# dont remember how many days, I cut open the tumor, tip a little furan2 powder on the wound, put him back in the water. add another dose in to the tank. the wound eye starts bleeding. after 30 sec, bleed stop. the fish acting normal. some tumor pieces fell out and flowing in the tank.
  8. what is it, are they alive? or from the food you feed
  9. that is what I am going to ask too, haha. my Chocolate and festae cichlids were doing the same trick this morning. I took out my PH kit and done a PH check. it was at 6 wow. they look better after a water change and PH adjust
  10. the red one looks awesome, man. the green one does not seem get much oringish colour. some live or meaty food are in need, huh?
  11. will update the treatment progress. serious??
  12. treatment in day 10 with daily water change, 1 and ahalf bag of Furan 2, one tablet of antibiotic medicine ( for human consumption) NOW he comes out like this
  13. it sounds awesome. my Jag likes spitting to perhaps because their mouth is too big. when they are chewing and breathing at same time, the food are blew out. only a guess.
  14. maybe caused by enteritis from internal infection. I am getting some medication (for human consumption, but itis suggested giving a good result on fish too) from overseas should be here by January. I will PM you if you still have....
  15. cloudy eye is not too bad. things come up after is really bad
  16. surely from stress once new fish enter a different community with different water temperature, fish ,.. cloudy eye could be worse if dont treat it probebly. it could be spred on the fish itself dosent influence other parties. my texas only got a cloudy eye at the beginning with no signs of getting worse to me but laterly it became a poped eye and then cover by a 'tumor' alike meaty thing. I am traeting him with Melafix, seasalt, stress coat+, formarin and Furan 2. Now the tumor is popd open, which I think it is a sign that the wound starts healing. how ever the eye is apparently lost. so get it sorted be4 it is totally blind.
  17. treatment in the day7.. right eye is totally coverd by the' tumor' but it was popd open. looks horrible but he is in a good condition still not eating at all.
  18. hi man try some bloodworm n see how it goes.
  19. mine is too as described above. I had this guy for 1year and half, he is only acting agressively when I pour bulk lot of bloodworm in the tank. in the way I think he is only in a 'Jag nature' when he really hungry. mine is pretty quiet generally not even bothering other smaller fish which is quite against 'HIGHLY AGGRESSIVE' suggested by some info providers. what I hav found out on mine is Jag is a generally timid fish with a little attitude and territorial might be 'highly aggressive' during spawn. (but neva had a clud due to there is only a male) my Jag is too fussy to food badly. He only takes bloodworm
  20. hi Burn ,burn? no one has that experience yet. I would prefer anything to keep him alive.. not too costly
