as the title. question for experienmented fish keepers.----- What fish food do you feed your CA or SA Cichlid? what brand ? where to get? and how much? :nilly: I currently feed my CA Cichlids with flakes (Aqua One, $ 30= 180g), cichlid pellets ( $38.50= 160G) and bloodworm ($ 4.5 per tray) all these stuff pollut water badly and also quite dear. I have about 25 fish in the community. they all pick on their own favourate. none of the three kinds of food above satisfies all. also, my male Gt, female JD, and flowerhorn only eat blood worm. and my chocolates only take earthworm. :facepalm: now my GT and JD are very skiny as they are too shy to swim hard out to grab food with other fish. they dont seem have grown over last year. :bounce:

I picked the larger one. dont know if there is still the other one in the shop or not.

the barred midas complex! agree dave, has your one grown a humphead my one has none. but the body is growing fast. the mouth is a 'V' shape which is a Midas/red devil's trait.

aha I have a pair too for more than a year. I dont see they eat often either. they are very timid that would be a challenge putting them in a cichlid community. keep them with tetras will be a good idea or hold a tank for the pair plants and sheds are very important. anyway mine dont seem exsited in my tank :sml2: try to sell the pair

I got it from Bird bun in Henderson where I saw the hugh GT. the staff told me it is a flowerhorn but from the colour and the shape of head, nothing close to any flowerhorn spicies. the pattern layout is pretty close to an Amphilophus so hope it is a real one.

mine is getting quite well to hold itself with all my other larger and more aggresive ones. but would be quite bully toward to smaller ones. they do not eat other fish anyway, so I think they are ok in a peaceful community. :thup:

as far as I know it is a hybrid, but not sure what kind of pair it has been crossed out from. I have been told it is a flowerhorn, :lol: but I do not think so.

I think it was around 10cm. Got 6 together but four gone still have two left which are not as big as that one so far.

hi, guys, I intend to get a filter as well. I am targetting two brands at same time. Atman uf 2400 and Aqua one cf 2400. I know we are talking about the best one here not the cheapest but according to my affordablity, I have to stay away from fansy ones such as fluvelx5. now I am quite hesitant between two brands, both of Atman uf 2400 and Aqua One cf 2400 are reaching my requirement in flow rate and volumm but.... Atman has a built-in UV lamp which Aqua One does not.... of course, Aqua One seems a more economic and popular brand what is the big deal of having a UV facilities, Can I rather not have it.

as the subject, do we have Pearsei, Bocourti, True parrot available here. that would be a nice mild-aggresive community with Urau and chocolate cichlid. or is there any importers can bring some in the country. :smln:
