    Not at all, I suspect my wife overfed them while I was away and I didn't notice all the extra food in the tank. I haven't been paying much attention to them recently. Strangely the ones that are sick are fully coloured up and not swimming too much while the rest are racing around the tank scared and nearly without any colour.

    I found 8 dead lemons tonight. Not sure what it is but I've done a huge water change and added prime and salt and put the UV filter on their tank so we'll see what's going to come of it.

    I just went and checked mine and cleaned out the cannister but there's nothing but clean water in there after 3+ months. I also noticed that my male is dying He's about to apisto on me and none of the babies have grown up to replace him. Oh well, I might look at replacing him once I've moved house.

    Check your cannister (if you have one) - I often find some in there. I give them a month or 2 before cleaning out the filter then catch them in a net as I rinse out the mulm in the bottom.

    The auction says it's for up to 200L so you'd want the 400L version if it's still available. This is the one I got in the right size for your tank (I got the 18W version) - here. They sell the Jebo UV filters too but apparently they're a complete waste of money as they always leak. I've had no problems with my coralife one. It'll take 2-3 weeks max to arrive from fish-street but it sounds like you can't really wait.

    They're a great bike. Sucks about the rims though. Anyway - back on track. Are you going to paint the stand or oil/varnish it?

    I use black epoxy spray also. Leave it a few days to cure and it's fine.

    Tanks don't need to be dosed with stresscoat every week. Your carbon will be stripping it out straight away anyway. You really only need it to remove any chlorine from the water you're adding to the tank so don't dose for the whole tank. Most established fish tanks don't get any chemical additives except maybe a little bit in the new water for changes.

    The stand looks great and all the tanks look really good. Somebody overfilled the planted tank and it spilt all down the back :roll: :facepalm: I say it needed a waterchange anyway

    1530 x 710 x 640 I think? something like that. I'm not seriously selling it though. I've only just picked up the new sump for it

    You need another 700 or so litres in that tank.

    it's posts like this that make me more aware that I was nowhere near having a successful planted tank when I was high tech. oh well, one day...

    If you happen to remember can you let me know? I live in Grey Lynn but have been going to argus at westhaven and they do it overnight which isn't ideal.

    hmm, price is going to be an issue but you could technically still plaster/skim the particle board and seal afterwards then paint with acrylic. If you know a plasterer it'd take them 3-4 hours max to skim the whole room/shed.
