  1. Catbrat check a couple of replies above your question and you will see what the camera model is. Alan thanks for your thoughts. I will email Carey, the breeder, to double check. Not that I am doubting you of course

Like the green brain thing top right
  3. not according to the guy I got them from. I must email him and ask. It must be one of the names listed above the pics.
  4. PS: Never had a camera before either so am still learning. I can turn it on, auto focus and take a picture but there are lots of other buttons I have no idea what they are for yet  Camera is a Sony DSC-F828 with 8.0 megapixels & 7x optical zoom.
  5. Got my new digital camera so here are a few of my Mbuna. Not sure which is which (apart from the L. caeruleus and I also have some J. marlieri). They have to be either... Copadichromis borleyi Stigmatochromis modestus Aulonocara jacobfreibergi but I have no idea which is which

    Pretty colour

Very pretty pies but I liked the purple one better personally.
  8. Well worth visiting Warren's tank people! Don't know about Warren, but the tanks and fish look good  Sorry Warren, couldn't resist
  9. What is the pH of your tap water? If it is a lot more acidic, what else do you have in the tank in the way of rocks? You may have something in there (like a shell for instance) causing the pH to rise.

    real newbie

Hi mechtiger and welcome. I am sure you will soon be hooked and buying more tanks  If you really have a plecostomus you are going to have trouble with it in your little tank as they grow over 30cm!

    ooo

I assume pc100 removed it but all I got was the red x too so I copied and pasted the properties as you do .
  12. Did you snap those other weekend pics for me pies (to add to the article)?
  13. I thought that Pegasus then wondered why since don't the young stay in the bubble nest at the surface, or is that only for a short time?
  14. Is something attacking him? Is he the smallest of the clowns? They are very prone to white spot when stressed.
  15. Is there enough light? Sorry I don't know how many watts per litre you are supposed to have.
  16. Something to do with the development of their labyrinth organ I think hevalump.

    MOVING HOUSE

I have solid blue barrels that hold 30 litres with a non-leak lid. They are sometimes available from larger paint shops. They come from Italy and had paint powder in them originally. I just give them a good rinse and they are excellent for transporting water and fish. They used to sell them occasionally for $10 each. Not sure if you can still get them but ask around. I would save at least half the water but agree with the rest of wok's advice.

    My corydoras!!!

Welcome lighter. A great set of pics you have there, thanks for sharing. It never ceases to amaze me how many different corys there are.
  19. Sounds good Inter. Keep us posted on progress!
  20. Hi and welcome. I agree with suemack, may be planaria due to overfeeding. Not sure if you should have the turtle and the fish together in a tank but don't know anything about the turtle mentioned as I don't think they are in NZ. Also, the shark and catfish are most likely tropical fish but the goldfish is a cold water fish.

    Rocks

I have only ever just scrubbed the dirt off and then put them in the tank.
  22. It can sometimes be a genetic fault to have the spine bend like that. Females can often get bent too after having too many fry. Pegasus is one of our disease experts so hopefully he will have something more to add.

Also, look under "The NZ Fishroom Website" thread. There is a sticky there with full instructions.
