    HI

It is 6 weeks anton and a very long tedious process on a par with Australia - if not worse.
  2. Eddie, from Petworld, died recently so that might be why they have not had any regular shipments lately.
  3. The information sheet with my nitrate test kit says... Nitrate level of 20 - 30ppm is sufficient for most routine maintenance. Levels should be kept below 20ppm for critical work such as breeding. Levels above 30ppm indicate the need for more frequent water changes. I always thought it best to keep below 20ppm.
  4. Here is a pic of my male borleyi who is getting randy and chasing everything in the tank! I only have a double fluorescent on the tank so there is not enough light to show him off. He is flaring beautifully - usually at the back of the tank where it is too dark - even with the flash. Must add some more lights.
  5. Your 'conglomerate' idea should work pies. Give it some serious thought.
  6. Well it's cheating but... since it's you PM me your name and address wok
  7. A good learning curve I feel. Nice to know others read your article though wasn't it gomer? I for one appreciate the fact you wrote one at all!
  8. Janey may not have checked in here since you PMd her. I will tell her to look.

    HI

Hi Anton and welcome. I gather the selection of fish we are able to import is sadly lacking compared to other countries but we still have lots to choose from.
  10. Thank you all. Do you not feel inspired now to write some articles????
  11. Have you tried Paul? http://paul.aaquaria.com
  12. Gee its a bit sad when your camera gets to travel more than you do
  13. How have you cycled the tank?
  14. Any chance of an updated pic?
  15. Welcome booger. You have come to the right place for fish advice. More details are needed to tell you what your white fish is. I suggest you ask at the shop you bought it.
  16. V americans and V gigantea are sometimes referred to as eelgrass. Usually it is called vallis or twisted vallis. Since you are the one who actually lives in Nelson andyman it would be easiest for you to find out if it is there.
  17. It's a paludarium Alan and npNewbie - take note of Warren and Alan's advice. They have been making tanks for years and know what they're talking about!
  18. Thanks for the input guys. I will certainly make sure these additions are in the next magazine.
  19. What a neat little model midas. Thanks for that. Yes, please send it to Warren.
  20. That would be good Warren. I don't follow anything that has numbers in it  Err, why haven't you read it yet?

    New Books

This isn't just the begiining M as I have had a large collection for a long time now. I am a compulsive book buyer and our house is full of bookcases groaning at the weight. A quick tally of actual fish books came to over 90. I have no intention of adding up the nonfish books. None of this includes Grant's extensive collection of computer, electronic, amateur radio and car magazines.
  22. The FNZAS Plant Survey book was done in 1999, before MAF changed the noxiousness It gets sold as many don't know what it is - including those supposedly policing it. Many plants are also misnamed or sold as 'bunch plants' but not named.
