  1. Yeah i've given up on fighters. I went with Dwarf Puffers.
  2. I have a pc ups for my canister filter, that should keep it running for at least 4 hours. , so far so good.
  3. Yeha I have 2 ramshorn snail in the tank with the puffer. So far they have been fine. They have been harassed, but not killed. soon hopefully the puffer will get a feed.
  4. Wont eat the left overs, but I have some ramshorns in there, need more though.
  5. Not what I wanter to hear. Anyone else recommend me a cleaner crew?>
  6. Pandas would be awesome, but has anyone got any? Last time I check HFF they had no stock. Otos would be ok too. will have a look next week.
  7. Well I had one death. One of the puffers was found on the gravel... Unsure why. On a side note, can anyone recomend me a fish that cal clean up after these guys. They miss so much food it's unreal, and becuase of the plants its extremely hard to gravel vac. Basically something that can live in a small tank (even if its while they are young, and I can transfer them/sell them once older/bigger) Something that can live with gobys and DP's. and something to eat left over bloodworms. I want to add a Young bristlenose to keep the glass clean, but I dont think they will eat the left overs.
  8. If you can't drill holes, you might struggle with hanging lights. You should be able to attach hooks for hanging lights, and just do a 10 min fix if/when you move out. Little bit of filler, and some matching paint. Job done.
  9. Thats some nasty looking slime too. They haven't been hiding too much for me, the gobys however, lets just say I hope they are ok, as I haven't seen them much since they went in. Pics tomorrow night
  10. So far so good. They don't seem to be eating much (picky???). Although I did watch one hunting a snail, so I don't know. I have tried frozen Daphnia, Brine Shrimp, and some small flake. I need tog et some live food asap. Or more snails.
  11. I purchased a couple of Bumble bee gobys as well. So fingers crossed they all get along. I have Indian fern and hairgrass, plus some driftwood in the tank, so with any luck, they all stay happy.
  12. What have you got them in sam? And with any tank mates?
  13. Update: Today I purchased 2 dwarf puffers, and some more frozen food for my community tank. I also bought some frozen Daphnia for the DP's so we will see if they eat it. Pics will follow on later once night sets in so I can get a nice shot.
  14. A few people need to do this to be honest.
  15. I'd be stoked if I found a tank in the inorganics.
  16. I believe he is asking if he gets a clown, will it eat his guppys. Hoping it won't, and that it only deals to the snails.
  17. I too wanted to do this. 2 BBG's and up to 3 DP's. Problem I have, is hiding places. The tank is planted, so there isn't a lot of floor real estate free for caves. I really need to thik about upping the size of this tank from 37 to 60+ I think.
  18. I have Electric Blue Rams. I have had them in the tank for a little over 2 months. So far so good. I'm hoping this issue isn't with Electrics.
  19. Yeah, I have 2 20l buckets outside sitting now. Need to adjust their position for the best sunlight.
  20. Awesome. I have been reading into white worm culture, that doesn't seem too hard. Now its just waiting till someone has some daphnia to give/sell me.
  21. Excellent. Cheers for the advice Nymox. I think I have a few 20l buckets lying around in the garage, so ill set some of those up in the garden and see how i get on. Ill put a post in the sfor sale section and see if I can get some culture. Have you ever cultivated baby brine shrimp? are they any good for my tropicals or the puffers?
  22. I might give it a go then. Would they be able to be cultivated indoors under a fluro light with a heater, also, where did you get the culture to start the colony?
  23. Oh really. I have heard the same about the ramshorns, but yeah, I'm not too fused, as the tank is right next to my PC, so ill remove any dead things I see. I saw Daphinia, and White worms as frozen food, are these no good? or are live just even better?
