I don't mean little like fry, I mean little like a rasbora or a tetra etc

any fish that are small enough to notice it will eat it, of that I am sure. of course someone will no doubt prove me wrong but little fish eat the little bugs like that and planaria etc.
  7. could a gourami outswim a shrimp? shrimps are pretty fast zippers, none of my fish ever got close to the shrimp
  8. I really like the planted wood  please keep us updated with photos
  9. I don't actually want the fish but I would have looked after him until someone else came to get him from me. If you want him but can't get over this way for a while I can go and pick him up and he can live in a nice big bucket with fresh water and some live bugs... that would be a palace compared to where he's been.

If you have somewhere to hide the fry you can put a bigger fish in there to eat them. I also can't remember which chemical it is that kills them, but it was discussed in here somewhere last year
  11. I asked for an offer but I haven't had one and it hasn't been sold yet.. has anyone else had an offer?

I don't like pass or fail as the only grade, though it is the least emotive way to grade. I am usually a bit of a nerd and I never feel like 'pass' reflects the work I put in compared to others who may just scrape in. I need my recognition!! :nilly:
  14. get a manual from your library :smln: or are you the kind of man who doesn't read instructions? :digH:
  15. Yes I liked her comment 'You may not have known. Now you do'. Only I suppose if he didn't know then he couldn't have been accused of lying :sml2: I've asked for a fixed price offer so will see what happens next.
  16. I think by now Sheepsnana is wishing he didn't start this thread :sml2:
  17. Sheepsnana, knowing that you think anything small (was it under 100L you said?) is 'cruelty', I think you remain objective about tank sizes since house sizes, budgets, fish preferences and all those things can dictate the size of tank you have, and I don't think saying start at 200L is very encouraging. It's all well and good to say you get problems with water parameters on little tanks but there are also many positives.
  18. This is a polite and friendly reminder to word your opinions in as objective a manner as you are able, and to keep the personal insults out of it. And for those who are interested in hybrids please do not bait the members who have a problem with it. With any luck we might be able to have a discussion that doesn't degenerate into bickering and sniping. 8)
  19. as long as you aren't a fried egg all is well
