    Clown Killies

Rang them last night, they are $9 each and also said they are quite small so possibly hard to tell what sex they are. Hurry Nikki! :bounce:
  3. already planning a bigger tank hahaha :spop:
  4. Cool. The cory/loach tank in my signature is about same size - 22 litres. You are far more restrained than me in your stocking though  :bounce:
  5. Welcome to Nano Land :happy2: how big is your tank?
  6. Crypts are doing good, I put 1 big one and a small one in the killie tank and the other bigger one in here, it's in the middle back left corner next to the taller becketti/mystery ones at the back. They do have nice leaves. I think they will melt as most of my posted ones have at some point, but fingers crossed they don't disappear completely. Am trying to think of other plants that might go well in here as another layer around the semi circle but can't think of anything other than crypts and dwarf chain sword which I don't really want to use. More crypts would probably be nice - most plants look nice en masse.
  7. We have a 14 inch CRT - we might be the only people left in Auckland who do all our viewing on one of those. Our only couch - 2 seater - sits in front of it and it's close enough that you can see the picture well, that's how small the lounge is. Your garage is bigger than our lounge area. Any more suggestions? No I can't put a tank in the roof space either :sml2:
  8. what if the death was a relief to the person who was dying or about to die? What if they wanted to die?
  9. Have run out of space in the house for another tank. I know I said that before but this time I have exhausted all avenues.
  10. This tank is hard for me - I want more loaches as they are a lot of fun but I think I would have to sacrifice some cories as it's already quite got a lot of fish. I keep saying I will sell some cories to make room but then they come out at tea time with their funny little moustaches and I want to keep them all over again. Out of both of my tanks, this is the one I want to redo on a bigger scale one day.
  11. Updated pictures. Rasbora are getting more orange now, I'm quite pleased. My red boy that is usually redder than the rest is almost permanently red now. I thought I had heaps of plants but I think I could get a few more in. I like seeing the fish milling about in the shadows of the leaves, looks very au naturel, but those of you who like proper biotopes will just have to imagine these fish are long lost cousins who have come to stay Full tank shot Milling about with a sinking wafer for tea.
  12. this one looks too big for it's tank too - 76cm tank but 26cm fish??? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Pets-animals/Fish/Fish/auction-373278972.htm I wonder if these people also keep very big dogs in city apartments and the like

    Power bills.

I am going to get some polystyrene to insulate my 2 garage tanks - what is the best way to attach it? There are no walls surrounding them so nothing to support or press the insulation to the tank. I would guess that thick double sided tape would be Ok but wouldn't condensation ruin the stickiness?
