  1. Male Female Not the cuddliest of creatures but interesting all the same. Its neat watching them eat mini meal worms.
  2. Yeah that sounds about right, I have it written down some where with her booties lol. They're already eating well too greedy little things.
  3. Congratulations! Aggies look lovely well done indeed.
  4. 10 now, nothing white they are all a lot like their father. There is one that is rather yellow a lot like the pygmy you have L.A. I was hoping the mothers lighter colour would come through, Maybe still some to come.
  5. The 9th just arrived, a head length smaller then the others and not much of a first meal came out with it so I am a little concerned. It has plenty of attitude though went strait for the food, had itself a piece of meat and a little bit of banana.
  6. I have 8 Yindilings as of 4:30 - 5:15pm today. :bounce: :happy1:
  7. I would tend to stick clear of toughened anyway, as Alan said it doesn't really crack or chip, it more or less explodes, could be a worry under pressure in a larger tank. If you want to get carried away with different glasses then go for some of the ultraclear stuff like optiwhite or what ever its called, I think there is another one called sapphire it is beautiful stuff. But look into how big you want the tank, then look into bracing the tank, european bracing is very popular for good reason. And rimless tanks are always stunning when set up right. Filtration and lighting are worth thinking about at this stage too if you are having a tank made.
  8. Welcome Sheepsnana, good to have you along last night. Take your wife on a bit of a tank crawl check out all the locals tanks, there is bound to be something she really takes a shine too.
  9. Good to have you along sheepsnana, we will have to make sure the new year meeting is just as good. Rock hopping around the mount and lunch on the beach or something, sand sculpting competition maybe. I'll make sushi if that provides more incentive. thank you to all who came it was a good night. No recipe sorry Anthony but google bulgogi and you should get a fair idea
  10. We may need some plates and cutlery not to sure what is down there already.
  11. I've managed to get it working, well that was before I had to dismantle it again to get it in the truck. Fingers crossed.
  12. Food is all prepared and marinading, I found some extra sets of chopsticks too. I can't get the BBQ working though, there is gas but its not making it up to the burners.
  13. yeah I sure do, I was just making fun of the typical bbq steak. But in any case I always prefer the mushroom sauce to the steak, just not a huge fan.
  14. I'm not very patriotic when it comes to food I'm afraid, can't think of anything worse then a greasy old bit of over cooked steak. Although I more then make up for it in my pie consumption I guess.
  15. It might be possible, If the water level was low enough I can't see it being a problem. It doesn't put much stress on the glass at all as the very nature of what you are doing requires low pressure anyway. Even if it means moving the fish some where for half a day I would drill an overflow and add a sump, more water volume means more stability, and its only 1 fish after all.
  16. Korean BBQ beef. Will be served with Kimchi, soy bean sprout salad and fragranced white and black rice. Korean BBQ is my favourite food, and it is best shared.
  17. Yeah I'm doing either Bulgogi or Sushi, still deciding yet. Bulgogi would be nice since we have a BBQ.
  18. HOB skimmer cost around 200 - 400?? (guessing) I think a glass hole saw costs around $50 and has many uses.
  19. And I don't know about the hang on AL, there is probably something out there but why go HOB?
  20. :smot: You know perfectly well what he means, don't be a stirrer.
  21. Can you not see the piles of carp behind the tank, haha but yeah you got me. Yeah tiny tank, but this is the maximum I can manage as far as maintenance, only 6x2x2 but at least I can touch the bottom on this one. It will just have my current fish, only I will increase the school size for the cardinals and sterbai cory, and most likely some marble hatchets, big refugium in the sump for a discus pair to get busy too. It will be run on an auto water changer that also feeds live daphnia and other goodies into the tank 4 times a day, trying to cut the work load down to near 0, I want to enjoy my fish more. I am hoping to have it heavily planted, but I don't think 4 x 39w T5HO will be enough really, that is about what I can afford. At least I won't have to buy co2 and flourite or something to match high lighting. Tank is super clean now, I'm working on removing all the fine scratches today. Will probably start the background tomorrow. Using the driftwood in the background to make a sort of river bank with roots pushing through. Next update probably early next year lol
  22. Who ever they are they need to clean it! 8)
