  1. Randomly shooting at animals on someone else's land is bound to make a few people a bit grumpy, specially at night....
  2. You have me worried now, our 4ft is only 5mm glass.
  3. I'm not entirely sure to be honest, that hadn't really occurred to me. I think you're all missing the point, If motorcyclists cost more to insure than I'll happily pay more, but $800?, god that's about a 6th of what I was looking at paying for a bike. It seems the Gov is finding more and more ways to make revenue but the average wage stays the same. Even the simple pleasures in life like riding a bike on a sunny Sunday morning is denied the average Joe.
  4. The new proposed ACC levies will mean people with bikes over 600cc will pay almost 800 bucks to register their machines.......huhhhwaddaohmygodwhatttt!!!!! I've had a dream of buying a big old classic bike for years and with one foul swoop they just killed that one.... I mean come on!
  5. Neons are prone to keeling over for no apparent reason, I prolly just keep and eye on them for a while.
  6. our Dwarf gourami seems fairly peaceful...at the moment anyway, though she's fairly young...at least I think it's a she, anyone know how you sex dwarf gourami?
  7. Looks fantastic.....you aren't an insomniac by any chance?
  8. we have the same fish as you as well as all the others in our signature and it's a very happy friendly tank.....we did get rid of the angels though as our dwarf gourami started hiding a lot and our tetras went pale and started getting chunks ripped out of them, so I wouldn't suggest angels unless they're teany weany.

  10. shredded paper....actually, I wounder if the ink could be causing it?
  11. We have a coarse sand (or very fine gravel if you're pedantic...) over ours and we've found that the daltons stirs up easily and coats the plants and driftwood, but our pleco and BN seem to suck it up readily so.....plants are doing well but we also have fert balls and CO2 as well as some new lighting.
  12. Siran changes his bedding every few days, much to his displeasure, you can almost hear the grumbles afterwards as he's putting things back the way he likes it.
  13. thanks, yeah, the treatment will prolly cost more than he did lol. don't matter tho, he's a real character, part of the family
  14. Heheh, pick up some Surolan tommorow, (Siran says it's a steroid or something) and if that doesn't help we have to take him in to get a skin sample. The vet thinks it might be just a change of weather thing.
  15. Thanks for the advice LA, turns out it is Dermatitis and not fleas or mights.
  16. Bard rocks are good, my mother in law has them, rooster is quiet as, and hens are good mums.
  17. Got some pearl Gouramis today, can't believe I've never payed much Intention to them before, they're gorgeous fish, they'll look stunning in the community tank once they're out of quarantine.
  18. The higher you make it the gruntier the light needed to penetrate for plants, deeper and shallower makes life easier
  19. Hi, can you use flourish when you have carbon in your filter or will it just filter it out?
  20. This may be a silly question, but is there a native Amazon grass?. short not tall, that we can use in the foreground of our biotope? cheers big ears.
  21. hahaha, I must a real slow poke, I had Image's of you scratching a mouse between his legs and thought, What!!!.......took me about a 30 seconds for the penny to drop....what a ploinker
