It's the stock lighting that came with the hood (ocean free brand) and it doesn't say anything to do with power glo/plant glo and its a more purpleish light

Turns out I don't have the lighting sorted lol On the box it said 36 watts of light so I thought it meant each bulb so 72w of light for a double fitting but there only 18w each :roll: and it was a purplish light anyone know what spectrum the light is(It really brings out red colours) where would be a good place to get some lights that are 45cm long??

Well I almost convinced my dad to let me set up a 1.2m tank(i was pushing for q.5m ) but my mum convinced him not to :roll: and now i have to set up the 60lx30wx50h (cm) tank and then get a bigger one So far i have the gravel, lights,heater and now I just need to sort out the plants/fish I was thinking of an Asian biotope with: Honey Gouramis Harlequin rasboras and yoyo loaches (Do they like snails??) and am not sure about the plants and ferts ect. Any ideas

Awesome pieces you found ur plec now has a palace the best piece I have my dad found on his farm in a bog ages ago its about 30cm long 12/13cm thing and is completely hollow most annoying thing is that it looks so cool that i cant decide what to stick it in :lol:

on friday i went to auck to go to cirque du soleil (yay) then the next day i convinced my mum/dad to go to HFF mt roskill (Yay) and ended up this (YAY) Its 40cmx20x26 I set it up tonight with and stuck the boy in there rather than the little cube that he was in in the baby tank then i gave him a flake which made it way to the top corner, he then proceded to eat it and then spit it out and somehow managed to get it to be sucked through the gap in the divider and very angrily decided he wanted his food back and tried to head but his way through the glass lol :lol: :lol:

Well after managing to get through 11 pages of topics from here: http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/planted-nano-tanks/ I found this one: http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/tank-journals-photo-album/69011-10-gallon-moss-scape-last-updated.html it got me thinking that i might like to set up a tank with just moss so i did a bit of searching and all i got was java moss and Willow/Christmas moss Is that all of the mosses that we actually have in NZ?????

I have fed them flakes (i diddnt have anything else) then after about 3 days i got some frozen bloodworms with this the girls went from a creamish colour to a speckled red/creamish colour i did have some daphnia but they all died on me >.<

Yeah he actually built two, im not sure of the males age as i got him from the pet shop and the girls are 4 months old

Its not that fact that im giving up on them its just that if i am not able to get them to breed i may not have time to get them to an age of me able to see their colours. and yes bettysplendens.com has helped me alot to start this And it was kinda my mums idea My original idea was something to do with mice (hehe) and she diddn't trust me with them (meaning she doesn't want any mice running round the house with all four of the cats chasing after them lol) I might setup a small tank there with the male or some offspring of his (if i get some that is) it will be the small splish and splash tank with info about how they live so the judges dont get angry at me
