    The What's Up? thread.

Sophia that thought did cross my mind but I have terribly bad aquascaping luck with anything over 100 litres :-? I've read that no matter how well I scape it, Oscars will rearrange it given the chance. I want to go really rock heavy, got a couple of solid pieces of alpine cobble with the tank for main rocks, will buy some more from 20cm down to 20mm pebbles with a sand base. I might give java fern a go but the fish I want don't usually play nice with plants :nilly:

Pretty happy with how the tank sits at the moment, it's far more solid than it look. I'm planning on trimming the ply down so it's flush with the tank, painting or covering the blocks and getting another piece of ply for a shelf between the bottom block and the second block. Lighting and hardscape after that, might be a few weeks though with school and work etc.

and perhaps platys 8) I'm sure if you start them young they'll be fine, I'm looking at getting 5-7cm fish initially so I can teach them good habits.

That's the plan, use the rejects of my line breeding program(s) as feeders. I'll probably have to start another thread for all that though

    fighter question

I've found excess food of almost any type, but especially bloodworms will cause dropsy in fighters.

Hopefully the filter isn't too noisy, I'm pretty good at dampening the sound however 8) Thanks Cam, I finally get to own some predators 8) The wall is 2100mm to the edge of the door, the tank is 1800x600x500 so I have about half a foot each side for plugs etc.

Tank gets dropped off 2hrs before Mum's plane lands, this is going to be good
  11. Looks good David, really clean. The only thing that bugs me is that cut off wood you can see just below the waterline :nilly: Otherwise a really stunning tank, everyone looks happy and healthy.

2am chillin' outside on my MBP, about 13 degrees and the wind is chilly but listening to the Moreporks is nice.
  13. Looking good! You'd be surprised what levelling that foreground sand to slope up toward the left rear corner will do for your tank.

I just asked homeowner if I can get a bigger tank (540L) than my 100L all in one I have at the moment. "Do you mind if I replace the tank in my room with something that fills the wall better?" Fingers crossed! :slfg:
  18. I like your style Cam, jungle. Chuck a single dominant hardscape feature (large rock or wood) in there and wait for the plant density to increase and you've got a winner.
  19. Baby's first reverse image search :3 Of course they wouldn't use their own image, they just grab whatever stock they can find on Google, which is also illegal. They're quite clearly scammers, report them as you see them.
  20. May I suggest another 15 Embers?
