  1. Sunsun filters are good but the flow might be a bit much for a 21L, there should be some smaller canisters (200-600lph)

I'm guessing a small-med high tech planted :spop:
  4. I can't help you with the refill but I can tell you a bit about the rest. Firstly, forget BPS as 1. It's not a standard measurement due to everyone's bubble counters being (slightly, if not completely) different. And 2. The amount of CO2 you need isn't proportional to the volume of your aquarium. A 200L high tech tank will need a LOT more CO2 than a 200L low tech tank. What you need is a drop checker (and preferably a fishless aquarium) so you can slowly increase your CO2 and get the timing right. I like to start my CO2 about an hour before my lights come on and then turn it off half an hour before the lights go off. This stops the fish getting gassed overnight but also gives the plants a good head start when the lights come on. And that answers the third question, an air stone shouldn't be needed at night but I find my fish need at least a little bit of surface movement to prevent them gasping. Hope that helps

If they're late night drinkers, treat them to an exclusive early morning blast of your favourite music to help with their hangovers
  6. I'm a big fan of landscape and nature shots in general, any extraordinary sights in your area?
  7. I'd love to see a heron eat "120 large exotic fish" in a few hours :sml1:
  8. It's often not about money, insurance covers most thefts, it's the feeling of being stolen from.
  9. IME, I wouldn't worry about it. My plants did fine, no reason yours won't 8)
  10. If you've been following my AA thread you'll see I had the same issue. I emailed them 5 days ago and a replacement part has just arrived, going to go change it now and see if it works. I cut my lighting down to 4hrs and skipped ferts, got some mean brown hair algae in some places but it was easily removed. Plants grew slowly but well during this time.

Getting a much slower but higher quality of growth without CO2, it's very interesting. This tank is due for a total rescape in the new year, just depends on time and money really.

Not that anyone's following but I've been a bit slack over the past two weeks due to work etc. Here's a photo from Sun 25th November. Since then, the CO2 regulator stopped working (simply won't turn on) so as I wait patiently for the replacement, I've cut the photoperiod down to 4hrs, got a fair bit of algae but nothing I couldn't easily remove. Plant growth has slowed but it's all still really healthy. Taken Monday 3rd December.
  16. Smartass  Different macros have different depths of field

Implying ugly is a fact not an opinion :sml1: I had many to choose from, I liked this one the best because of it's unique colouration which I don't find ugly at all.
