  1. He's in the hospital tank now, flaring at himself in the mirrored background.

    Dosed 2 drops of "TONIC".

Instructions said add 1ml per 20 litres of aquarium water (1 drop per litre)

1.5% Methylene Blue, 0.1% Malachite Green, 0.05% Acriflavine, 0.04% Quinine.

Does this sound right? I want to know if I can dose a further 26 drops (He's in a 28 Litre aquarium)?

  2. Once the hair grass has filled up the front a bit more you could get a mini lawn-mower and keep it mown. although you might need a mini-tractor and hay bailer by the looks of it. :o

Can you recommend anyone who sells Miniature Aquactic Farming Equiptment at discount prices Whetu?

    Thanks for the feedback guys.

    Any suggestions on Fauna?

  3. Yes, very hard to see.

Set up a hospital tank for him/her tonight, hoping to move him/her in by Friday.

I have some General Tonic that's used for healing Fin Rot and other fungal infections, contains Meth Green and/or Blue. This sound any good?

  4. Unfortunately when fish get sick, it's hard to fix them.

My Harlequins had some sort of disease, I think it was fin rot, and they got white stuff all over them. Moved them to a hospital tank and they died over the next two days.

If the fish are suffering I can recommend a humane way to put them out of it.

  5. I have a fighter who gets red "spots" on his fins and then they (the part of his fins that turned red) disappear. I thought he might be biting it off but now I think that's not the case. Here's some pics to give you an idea of what I'm talking about:

It'd be great if you could give me suggestions on what it could be? He doesn't seem to be in any pain but there's a big splotch now that looks kinda serious. He's in a tank of his own.

(10001th post in the Disease section!)

  6. 54L being 60cm x 30cm x 30cm?

The angel(s) will grow out of that pretty quickly or stunt.

If you get a fighter then he will be agressive to the angels as they have long fins and are seen as a threat to him.

Red tailed sharks are suited to larger tanks but IF bought very young a kept singly they MAY be okay as long as they have their own cave or territory.

If I were you I'd either get 5 more serpaes and/or 10 neons, large schools look great.

I'm rescaping my 54L so check this link for further advice (mainly about plants): viewtopic.php?f=2&t=40214

    Good luck.

  7. An oscar would be nice. Very friendly fish :D

    like little puppies :D

:o Imagine what an Oscar would do to my scape!

And yeah, I should thin it out. I don't like schooling fish, my neons and harlequins all died from infections that they all got. Maybe it's just my luck though?

    Killies!

Anyone got Killies and/or info on them?
