2 WPG should be fine for glosso, just use ferts and CO2.
If I can get my hands on the stuff then I'll try it out. I think my 30cm high tank is sitting around 5 WPG but only has 18w of intensity
Note to self: Order plants with the new heater

Have you never done the same Zev? It's just amazing...(no, I'm not stoned or drunk)
BTW, Riccia is super cool. There's heaps of O2 bubbles coming off it and I took 2/3 of it and tied it to a rock.

First one is front on
Second is on an angle
Third is in relation to the tank next to it
Can't wait to fill it up

The empty, yet full (of potential) tank tonight. Only running the lights, I sat for ages just watching it.

Scrub the wood in the water?
-
Step one: Remove wood from water and hold above tank
Step two: Nudge the BN off the wood if he's still attached
Step three: Scrub wood until clean
Step four: Replace wood

Wow, nice fish.
Can't wait till they're for sale

Which ones BikBok?
Actually Twinkles, all the fighters that I've seen in regular tanks with other fish in shops have been swimming around and acting normal. But the ones in barracks haven't been. It's funny because even though ADodges fighters were in small containers, they were all looking great.

I'd rather support smaller stores like Hollywood who stock a decent selection of fish (catering for the enthusiast rather than just the easy bucks selling community tanks/fish to newbies) and actually have staff who know a bit about what they're supposed to be selling.
Small?? They don't seem that small
But seriously, they are wondeful. Everytime I've been in there the service has been awesome and all their tanks are of high standard. The only downside is there fighters, I've only ever seen decent looking fighters at ADodge's place.

I've seen that scary video heaps before but I still jumped.
Haha, shame on that kid!

I've had it with schooling fish! They've always got sick and died on me but they do look great...
It's so tempting to just fill the tank up and start but I'd prolly end up changing it soon anyways. I want to make it great in case i get thje urge to enter it in the comp.

Speaking of fighters, I just won another one. Lovely looking Delta green and red butterfly. Need to setup the divided tank too now.
Okay, this is going to be a planted tank but I don't know how to make it unique. I thought of putting peat and clay under the substrate but would it just be a big mess. I'll definately be CO2 injecting and PMDD dosing.

My hairgrass is doing okay under a 23w energy saver but I wouldn't try Glosso.
Riccia in my 54L (30cm high) is showing O2 bubbles but it's floating and there's alot of CO2. Running 4x 18w tubes.

I'm hoping that the two tubes I'm going to buy will slam alot of light over this tank so neons would be a no go.
Maybe this could be a female Betta tank?
I'm try to choose between a convex scape or a concave scape, http://showcase.aquatic-gardeners.org/2 ... l=1&id=147 or http://showcase.aquatic-gardeners.org/2 ... l=1&id=151 respectively.

Yeah but I just spent half an hour washing the gravel and don't know where to put it. I also have sand in two of my other tanks so I want something different. The BN's tend to mess up the sand. Can I mix the two and still have a nice looking tank?
Might go rock hunting because I really like the local rocks. Will have to have some wood for the BN's too.
I'm going to cycle the tank without fish, that should give me time to decide.

I've just emptied my 3ft tank (90x30x30) and I don't know what to do with it. It's going to be home to a pair of BN's who have been rudely evicted this morning and I have enough grey gravel to cover the bottom about 4cm deep. I also have heaps of sand but it's unwashed and an AL30D twin bulb light hood.
What should I make it into? I like plants alot but I also want something a little different. Must look good as it's in the lounge.
Thanks

DON'T NAME HIM!
Yool get all attached and stuff.
-
Maybe Rusty will have a liddle playmate then?
-
Read it a bed time story, get it a glass of warm milk and tuck it in tight?
You've done heaps, more than I'd ever think of doing.
Good job *pats-on-back*

Most people running nano tanks on the PT Forums use paintball cylinders and they seem to work fine.
I find that my microworm mix smells more obviously but when I open up the DIY CO2, Mmmm.
-
Acrylic came today, broke a few peices but when I took my time I got it right.
Bought a new fighter and slotted in the tank, now I need to decide between gravel or sand and how I'm going to filter it.
-
The above tank pictured would cost a bomb. I was browsing the PT forums and there were people with 3gal tanks willing to spend $48USD for a drop checker! It's insane, but I guess if it's your only tank then it might be worth it, they do make them look stunning.

Guess who has not much alage...?

Wow, that's nice!
Where is it?

You should add that emoticon to the Smilies range, and find a new LOL. Pleeeez?
Nah, Riccia was in top condition. Hopefully it'll spread, take over the tank, then I can pass it on to another forumer.
Yeah, I really want this tank to turn out right this time but I'm not sure how I can show convexity... :-?
