  1. viewtopic.php?f=28&t=40474 Scroll down the page a bit. HTH
  2. Welcome Jamie Coldwater or tropical?
  3. A bit vague there Bobo :-? Is the tank new, used or about to be built? What thickness is the glass? If you get the glass thick enough, it won't need bracing. Perhaps ask Barrie or the tank manufacturer. HTH
  4. It sounds like a mini photography tank to me
  5. Like I always say "Find a photo of a tank you like and we'll go from there" 8)
  6. It looks sad, but the dimensions given seem different to those pictured :-?
  7. Maybe they need a wee move Ooo! That's pretty. I don't have the room to maintain it so it'd probably die but thanks anyways 8)
  8. So to clarify, there is two tanks only? One with Lake(?) Cichlids and one with live bearers? Me thinks get a new small tank 8)
  9. Here's a pic of the Clown Killie Zev accidentally gave me . The pic was washed out because I was acclimatizing it so I upped the contrast a bit 8) . The other Killie that came with it is still tiny so it's not in there with "the big boys". You can see him on the second to last photo of page 14, right in the middle, front of the tank at the surface.
  10. Yeah, it's a bit great. Hoping the Rotala will pick up and show some colour soon. Yes, the neons/cardinals would go great in this tank I reckon. What's wrong with the rocks? :-?

  12. Thanks for the link Simon It's great! I have some I took out of the 80L breeder and Hairgrass 27L and put it in this flat dish outside, in full sunlight with some tap water. I know I'll need to top it up everyday but do you think it'll work? I plan on harvesting 1/2 of it when it gets full. May add some PMDD. Thanks
  13. I'm need A LOT of moss for my next project and the stuff I have right now seems to do doing quite well. I'd like to create something like this: http://hubpages.com/hub/Keeping-Freshwater-Pet-Shrimp What is the best way to grow Java Moss fast? Can it be grown out of the aquarium, e.g in a bucket, jar, etc How can I create that "full" effect without using all moss? Some sort of structure underneath? Thanks!
  14. Show me a fighter who can break through glass.
  15. And that's why YOU are the Sage 8) Who's are?!
  16. 6 of these guys ( ) on this page LA, anyone would think YOU have the elephant
  17. Try a 6500k or 865 energy saver. I'm running one on my hair grass tank and it has no yellow to it at all. Comes in screw in and bayonet from Mitre10(Mega)/Bunnings. Quite cheap too. HTH
  18. I have corrugated plastic (from an old real estate sign) siliconed to the back of my divided fighter tanks to block the mirrored back. Not ill effects as of yet.
  19. I usually leave it in for 5 mins, 10 mins to be safe. Or if I'm in a rush, just straight out and into the bucket of water.
  20. *imagines cross legged elephant wearing glasses and holding a checklist*
