First of all this has nothing to do with fish, so if it needs to be moved to the off-topic area... :-? Wanted VCR Player in good con' - Must play VCR's but it does not need to record. - I would be good if it had a remote (I hate getting up :lol: ). - Needs NZ plug etc. - It would also be good if it was a well known brand eg. sony, sanyo, black diamond, Panasonic. Needed to play old TV series eg. Dad's Army, MASH. I live in Taradale and will be around untill Wednesday (school holidays) then I am away. PM ME

To answer my own question: TVNZ is saying that if one does it will hit the tip of NZ at 9:44am and Hawkes Bay at 10:40am.

Yes I have fry They are only 3 or so days old (free swimming). all going well they seem to be growing fast, like guppies :lol:

Yes 4:30pm will be great. (My mum announced a surprise visit to my grandparents house today so I missed your call :roll: ) I have some guppy fry that were born 2 days ago and there is more than 10 so if you could sight them for me that would be great. My brother has some guppy fry as well. As for the platys they are still inside their mum, there is only 1 male and 1 female as there seems to be a female shortage at Aqua Fever. Thank You

I will be at home Sunday so I can pick up or you can drop off at anytime, I have had tank set-up for 4 days now I used old filter media and 30% old water to try and kick start the tank cycle - I hope this is right - so I'm ready to go. "Can't Wait" so far I have Guppies and Platys breeding so after I breed these I'll try Swordtails and Zebra Danios.

Thanks pet shop had nothing, Aqua Fever has sold their big plant tank so no plants and they didn't have many fish. :roll:

Why Not ... F.N.Z.A.S. AQUARIUM OF THE MONTH Each month anyone can send a photo to a special email, and a judge will then narrow down the entries to 10. Then a new post can be started and we can all vote. The photo should need to include the whole aquarium (you can see the sides in photo) so clever people can't just do half a tank and zoom up to the good side. As for size why not just include any as the bigger the tank the more work so in theory the smaller the tank the better anyway. Winners could be posted on the F.N.Z.A.S homepage? This means that us who don't have the cash to go and by a $200+ tank of the self are included. Or if these guys want their own let them and us DIY'ers can have our own, F.N.Z.A.S. DIY AQUARIUM OF THE MONTH

Hi all I got my Aquarium World a few days ago and I saw the article "Ultimate Beginners' Breeding Guide" by Paul Young. (pg 14-15) So now I want to give white cloud mountain minnows a go, I'm going to hastings today so I will look at Aqua Fever for the fish. And I will look for the plants... "2x Indian Fern or Water Sprite" but the article does say "and free from other club members" hint hint :lol: I have a 60L tank, and gravel but I will need to get a HOB today as well. If anyone has plants or fish let me know otherwise please let me know anything else about breeding them.

Hailea BT200 Internal Filter cost about $20 and can be set-up to have a spray bar or a standard output. Great filter and they work really well, as I had one in a tank that size with 50+ guppies no problems.

yip, the UGF's will be in the bin as soon as they arrive at my door. I hate the things!! whats a good filter? for under $50. the tanks will be used for all sorts of tropical fish. I think so!

zebra/leopard danio? I say Zebra Dye-no but have been told its Dan-iee-o :-? I might just be stupid :lol: but thanks for starting this post, now I know I'm not the only one who cant say the names right ... and spell :lol:

The tanks are mine all mine !!! Total Paid $180 so now its not a case of "is this a good buy?" but "was this a good buy". :lol:

My heaters are masterpet (cheap things) the one in my guppie tank is set on 30 yet it only heats the water to 25 :evil: It's 100w and in a 60L tank.
