  1. I need to read things better, sorry I just noticed the size of your tank and also the fish you have in there. With getting more cories and kuhlis you'll have too much going on the bottom level - I wouldn't suggest you getting a pleco the tank is just way to small - upgrade it first then get one Without the extra cories and kuhlis you could possibly have a redspot to growout in there but again will need to upsize your tank afew months later - a redspot should be fine with the types of fish you have in there.
  2. How big is your tank? Remember one pleco equals ALOT of poo and the bigger the pleco the bigger the mess - having a barebottom tank will make cleaning alot easier too If your tank is small then I would suggest just having one. I think you said you're getting baby ones, so you could get a couple and then upsize your tank later

    ID?

    I third it - it's a dolphin
  4. I also find the redspot the best glass cleaner .. out of all my plecos, the redspot is the best - he's always out and about cleaning
  5. The redspot and bristlenoses will get on fine - But yep they grow HUGE!!! and quite quickly too - they eat loads too Plants in pots will be fine - if planted in gravel they will uproot them when they barge through things
  6. I feed my guys - Hikari cichlid excel, jbl novo rift, hikari cichlid staple and i chuck in the odd bit of zuchinni for the plecs but the fish loveee it to - i also make up my own food for them i tryed having bristlenoses in with them, but they got eaten so bigger plecs all the way with them now. And do they africans try eating them Mystic? we get the brown aglae quite bad - but the fish seem to like to graze at it, so not really that bothered by it
  7. OH I don't wanna know Nope doesn't effect PH, did you get the schist from that place I told you about?
  8. Looking good - look much better once the fish are in there yah for africans Are you gunna put the lumpys in there? P.S I had a MAJOR accident with the lumpys today - half the babies died and mum and dad aren't too good I still really really upset about it all

    Levamisole Dose Rate

Not sure if theres an expiry date for the stuff this is a link for proper dosing http://www.loaches.com/disease-treatmen ... chloride-1 - an interesting read, the instructions for dosing is at the bottom. It won't hurt the fish to treat them, weather they have worms or not

    Levamisole Dose Rate

You get it from a vet. I found only farm vets carry it (or have heard of it) some vets may order it in for you. Ask for Aviverm - usually around $18 for 50ml. It's a bird worming formula.

I would say your jewel will be fine - they tend to keep to themselves but will stick up for themselves too though We just got some blue acaras in the weekend - gorgeous fishies, can't wait till they get bigger

  20. Yea he is a cutie - to be honest I don't think he's all that bother anyway not having his heat lamp on. His fluro UVB is going all day anyways Yea was thinking of using a normal bulb - but his tank is next to my other tanks and I don't want to keep them all awake The africans stress me out enough already, let alone africans with naff all sleep LOL
  21. Thanks for the input peoples. I ended up buying a heat lamp bulb in the above TM link so hopefully arrive Monday, turts will have to put up with no heat lamp for the weekend

  24. My turtles red basking light has blown - only had it for afew months and paid a fortune for it. Is there a cheaper bulb I can buy than the overpriced ones at the LFS?
