That is right MA... all the noise was at conference. I for one can vouch that Caryl made a lot of noise and so did Amazonian.. ... then again it was noisey wherever you went. :lol: :bounce: :lol: :bounce:

If it is green Hairy algae then Flourish Excell will not work. Florish Excel is only good for getting rid of Black beard algae. long greeen hair algae is best gotten rid of by picking it out and reduce the amount of phosphates in the water (ie reduce the amount of food you put in the tank)

Hmmmm So many things to say and so slow at typing :lol: I don't think you need to worry about raising snails to feed the loaches. Once the snails are all gone they will eat something else.... Like eggs Since you were so nice Jude... no smart remarks from me... even if it is so tempting :lol:

If you also want to make a little money, the best way i think is to start off with wcmm (White Cloud Mountain Minnows) and lots of Ambulia, Cabomba plants. you can sell any extra fish you get back to the fish shops for at least $1 each. and you won't need a heater and they look good too when you have a lot in your tank. Start off with 10 wcmm and in about a month you should have a lot more.

I've taken all the carbon out of all my filters. I only use it if I ever use any meds.

I've been using cold water for the past couple of years and that is with a25 -30% water changes. Fish don't seem to mind... infact they actually come and swim in the cold water as I pour it in.
