    Killi Fish Show

Why thank you Barrie. I will definitely be there, and I can pick up killies for the show on my way down. All people have to do is email me. first in will dictate which route I take to drive down.
  4. once again, I cannot make it. I was planning to bring Caramel banana crepes with cream too!!! :-?
  5. best to check with the council, I know that in auckland and Manukau district plans actually state how many chickens you can have and whether or not you are allowed any roosters. I wanted some chickens for the eggs, but wife didn't like the pooey idea.
  6. I know how you feel Whetu I have had that done to my car and last year my wifes car was broken into at the Airport  Don't you wish you could catch the thieves in the act and give them a good throttling. (I was going to swear, but the rules don't allow it  )
  7. I have had no problems with taking fish with me as carryon luggage with Qantas. I just showed the fish to the security guys and said that I don't want them xrayed. they were happy about it and even laughed when I said this liquid couldn't be explosive, especiallhy with fish swimming in there. If the fish are small enough I would use a 2L juice bottle to transport the fish. more sturdy than a bag. I have had problems with Air New Zealand in checking fish as luggage. my advice for travelling with Air New Zealand is NOT to tell them you have fish in your luggage. As with carryon for Air New Zealand, I have no idea. I will not fly Air New Zealand unless I really have to because they would not let me take fish
  8. I personally would go for books. unless you are organised. refil has its advantage in that you can just take one refill for all subjects, just remember to file the notes properly or you could take a ring binder with dividers and put the notes away accordingly during the day. I remember my days at uni, when it came round to exams, I spent around $50+ on photocopying of notes I didn't have  Good place for text books is the university 2nd hand book shop.
  9. I want one too. Now only if Lotto is so forgiving
  10.  Nice Dream Spink one death so far, but all the others are really active, especially when it comes to feeding time.

  15. All I see is a lot of space for fish tanks. what is the issue?
  16. No need to get rid of fish......just get more tanks
  17. Unfortunately it was a lonely hunt with just me. couldn't be bothered to go wading into the muck, so did a bit of netting on the bank, managed to get a few smaller mollies, but could definitely see the larger ones further out from the bank, (just out of net range), was hoping to get more than I did, but had equipment failure. handle of the net broke, then the net detached itself from the remaining handle. With that happening and the swarm of sandflies biting me, I called it a day. Managed to get a couple decent sized mollies and several smaller ones. They seen to be doing ok last night when I placed them in a tank, with some flake food. This morning they were very ravenous, and ate the flake in quick time. Will keep you posted on how they are doing. Wok

  20. My neighbours once had 2 Birmans, Really nice cats. Used to let them in the house from time to time to see if they could smell any possible rats in the house. one of the cats had a favourite spot under my Avocado tree, and when the time came it decided to die under it (had wondered why the cat hadn't moved for a few days, and it stunk when I found out :-? ) So I buried it under my Avocado tree. I'm sure it would of liked it , and my Avocado tree too  Sorry Barrie, the above is no help to you.
