Oh my gosh, are you serious? That's SOOO expensive. I found this: http://www.wellingtondentist.co.nz/rootcanal.html. Has anyone used them?
-
Interesting you say that, I someone I know went to Thailand and got 2 fillings, a root canal, a crown, and a holiday for the price she was quoted for the dentistry in NZ. I'm also deathly afraid of the dentist, so need to make sure that I'm completely numb and preferably have gas!!
-
Got news from the dentist today that I have to have a root canal and was quoted $1200 + $1200 for a crown. What do you guys think of those prices?
-
Hmm, I've got some L270s. Maybe I should sell them, if someone paid 600, I'd be a happy girl!!!

I walked in a puddle after parking my car today. My shoe got wet.

The issue I think you're going to have is getting the worming medication into them. Do you have a plan? Maybe inject the mussel with the worming medicine?

Poop isn't always a good way to judge IPs, sometimes the only sign fish show for a long time is lack of interest in food, or eating by not gaining weight. Everyone says poop is the surefire way to tell, but I'm not convinced.
-
The fact that they show an interest in food tells me that it's either their teeth or an IP. Have they been wormed? Also, some dwarfs do have problems with their teeth growing too long - take a good look. It's quite rare for bloodworm to be too big for them, they're usually such piggies that it doesn't matter if the food is bigger than them! Maybe try some fresh mussel. Most puffers can't resist mussel.

This is quite accurate for me. I try very hard to break out of my naturally shy mindset, but deep down, I'd rather not be spending time with people. Interestingly enough, I am doing law, management and economics at university, with an intent to get into international law (linked closely with IR). When I started uni, my first degree was biochemistry. I take these tests with a grain of salt, but I did it 3 times (the 100 question test) and it came up with the same answers every time, though 2 - 5 on my majors was in a different order each time.

Wow I'm really impressed with how fantastic that looks. I always think of local/cw marines being bland and boring looking, with no colour. Can't wait to see how it grows up, I'll definately be keeping an eye on this one!

Removing water spots from glass?
lmsmith replied to Southerrrngirrl's topic in The Off Topic Fishroom
I had a similar problem with my shower door and I used one of those white 'product free' cleaning sponges. It made a huge difference, and was nice and easy. I'm pretty lazy with cleaning my shower, but it's really easy to wipe down all the walls every time I shower with the sponge, and clean with disinfectant every couple of months. I agree though, my parents do the squeegy thing and their shower looks good as new after about 10 years. -
Anyone know if the cricket can be seen online?

Thanks for making me laugh out loud in class like a crazy person! -
Be my guest. You'll also be pleased to note, I'm sure, that WINZ and the MSD have confirmed that there was no benefit available, and have issued a special emergency benefit to back pay that period of time. They have also confirmed, through official WINZ financial advisers, that no person should be put in the position of having to sell their belongings to eat, especially when it means that they are in the uneconomic position of selling things hugely under what they're worth. So think of me what you will, but my stance and position on the situation is absolutely validated by the Government, and they have issued an apology for the way our case was handled.

I'm not saying that they are retards; but that the site looks like it has many retards. I absolutely do judge peoples' intelligence on their grammar and spelling abilities. If English is not your second language, you do not have any learning disabilities, and you are an adult, there is no excuse. Learn how to spell, or learn how to use a spell check. Google 'correct grammar' and have a read. I'm not saying everyone has to get it perfect all the time, that's unobtainable. But to actively try to misspell or to consistently make the same mistakes when you have been advised on the correct way to do something shows that you are not willing to learn. I believe that this shows subnormal intelligence (retardation). It shows a lack of attention to detail, and poor memory skills. It also shows that the person is unable to see or decipher patterns. Ultimately, the person has poor communication skills, which directly affects everyone around them. You will also note that I never said that a persons written communication skills were the only thing I judge people on; but it is a factor and I won't apologise for that. If it's good enough for worldwide education systems, employers and every single industry in the world, then it's good enough for me. Yes, people can succeed or even excel with poor written communication skills. Likewise, people with good written communication skills can fail. However, like many employers and educators around the world, I believe that poor written communication skills have a direct bearing on many other parts of that persons' intelligence (as above; memory, attention to detail, ability to see patterns and to learn). Also, I did clearly state that I'm talking from a societal view, not just a view from this forum. True to form, the internet overreacts.

Vinegar or bleach. Leave it to soak, scrub, rinse, and leave it in the sun to completely dry.

Beautiful tank, it'll look great when it's grown a bit more. I think puffers are so ugly that they're cute. Love 'em! Just a heads up, puffers are jumpers. I lost my 2 babies due to jumping (and had a lid with about 5cm x 5cm gap). I'd recommend a tight fitting lid, especially since the tank is so full and they're so ungainly when they swim, they could literally just swim over the side on accident.

I don't think we (as a people, not as a forum) should accept anything less that correctly punctuated posts/writing, with correct spelling. It's really, really not that hard to put in commas, capital letters and use semi-colons and colons correctly. It's also easy to push that return/enter key to make a new paragraph. Most computers have built in spelling programs which put the red squiggly line under things that are spelled incorrectly, and a green one under grammatical errors. Some even fix the mistakes for you. I think grammar and spelling are important, and should be encouraged. I, too, cannot stand people who deliberately misspell/abbreviate (f instead of th etc.). Sorry, but it makes you look stupid. How am I supposed to take you seriously when you say 'fAnXXx'?!?!????!* I use these forums less because of the appalling grammar and spelling - it looks like it's a site full of retards.** **And yes, I understand that strictly speaking, that's not the correct way to use question and exclamation marks, but I think the point, as well as my complete disgust, needs to be highlighted. **Defined by http://www.dictionary.net as: retard noun - a person of subnormal intelligence

My hammer is splitting it's stem. It's quite exciting! I took the pic a couple of days ago, and now inside the bubble has turned white and it appears to be hardening. No idea how long this process will take though, but I'll keep you updated.

I've driven a grandis and I love them. Economy isn't bad, I like the handling and it's nice and roomy inside. It's also quiet on the road so that's good for long trips.

I'm not so tech savvy either, but I used iWeb and MobileMe to make my site. http://Www.wetnz.co.nz. What I liked about iWeb is that it's click and drag, if you can use google, you can figure it out. On things like dreamweaver, you have to do some HTML coding, so iWeb is a really simple way to go. It's pretty easy to use the templates or you can delete everything from a template and make the site from scratch. Wetnz took me about an hour (not including formatting the pictures).

Define what is a 'huge', 'big' or 'massive' tank
lmsmith replied to Morcs's topic in The Off Topic Fishroom
I pretty much agree with this, but I think like David R said, a deeper tank is much 'bigger' than a longer tank. I used to think my 5' tank would be huge, but now it's too small -

Try Bunnings, they're getting really big on community involvement, so if you write them a letter, they'll probably be able to help you out. They sell hutches, and they won't give you money, but they will donate things they sell. -
I could get my money from kiwisaver, but it's not much to be honest, but it's something we're going to look at next week. And actually, selling everything you own isn't a reasonable alternative, according to winz. Winz also were not concerned about where I live because I've worked out all the financial stuff on how much it would actually cost me if I were to move (Inc moving expenses and ongoing expenses of living further away from where my whole life is).
