  1. Finally found the usb card reader the other day, just in time for the next move :-? the other half and I are putting an offer on a place a bit bigger than the flat. Any way here a few photo's of our 2 biggest tanks I'm still doing work to them and will place better photo's one day under members tanks
  2. Went to the rock pools today to get a few shrimp as feeders... ended up getting more than I planned, I decided after finding some cool stuff to keep it in a 22 liter tank including the shrips lol There is 4 triple fins, 5 shrimps, 1 small decoration crab also there is 4 anemones, 3 of one kind and 1 other Will be making a better filter / chiller for it during the week (doesn't have a chiller yet)
  3. 1991 honda civic - 4 door - 1.3L carb - old model Got it going again, yea my dad and I have done a lot of work to this car over the years to keep it running nice. My dad is going to have a play round with it tomorrow just to make sure its all good as well. I brought it 5 years ago and it had 174000km on it... I drive to much  Well having a break at long last, about to cook dinner soon though as I have go out later... so my beers will just have to wait.
  4. I use to play years ago... I know I still have my cards around somewhere. For all the WoW players, who is on the Blackrock server?
  5. Meh, that why i'm here, taking a break from it all before workin on my car... its done 316000km and i'm going to make sure I get a few more before getting another one. Thanks. I think i'll go buy some beers and do a few water changes later once (and if) the car is sorted... if not i'll be off to the car yards to look at what I shouldn't be buying
  6. Well I had a bit planned to do today... First I sleep in by an hour, then my car decided it doesn't want to start (ripping it to bits as soon as my dad shows up with meh tools), landlord say he can only come over between a certain time to fix something in the flat... thats after I remind him that he's been putting it off for 2 weeks and rent will stop if it ain't done... What a lovely day :-?
  7. Squier Strat's are awesome to play / learn with, had one for 3 or 4 years before i upgraded. I know what you mean Livingart I play the drums as well, and couldn't get enough time to practice till I found a place with nobody to tell me to be quiet in any nasty way
  8. Use to play Cod4 and cs, still play WoW when i have the time. Gears of war 2 is another goodie
  9. They can be good, but once they start showing bad behavior they can get nasty. If the fish you keep in the same tank are bigger and can hold there own they should be ok but still keep an eye out. But imo, that what i've learn't from keeping them
  10. yea i'm making a new lid for the tank this week, I've had carpet fish before... and i'm trying for never again  Thanks AquaVitamins
  11. Wow, awesome work! I might have to give this a go sometime
  12. Looks like the lfs has a few big ones coming in soon so i might not need to grow some... but might get some silver dollars again and grow them instead to add to the tank with every thing else... I'm going to need an 8 foot tank soon lol. Sadly but in a good way I don't have money for one at the moment... paying for a wedding then the 8 (or 10 if i'm lucky) foot and house come next... I hope
  13. Now I was thinking of getting some silver sharks to add to one of my tanks, problem is I would have to give them the best conditions to grow them before adding them to that tank. I can only find small one's at the pet shops at the moment and I need to get them to 10 - 14cm before I can add them to the tank I want them for. - So I'm going to setup a 3 foot tank just for 4 - 6 silver sharks. now other than lots of food and 50% weekly water changes is there anything else I can do to speed up there growth?
  14. Yes, youtube is great
  15. my other half has it on vhs (tape), would you like me to ask her if she would sell it? Don't know if she wants it or not...
  16. Well finally got most of the stuff at the new place sorted a week ago.... lost the card reader so cannot load photos onto the computer yet... Have 3 tanks set up so far, and will hopefully have the money to buy the wood to make a few new stands soon. going to make a stand for 4 breeding tanks and one to hold my 220L tank with a place to stick my 3 foot sump / plant tank (project in progress, updates in diy later... if i finish it  ) grr I'm hoping I don't need to move again for a while... only lost one fish (one fish to many) one of my silver dollars, the other one is off to a new home in the next few days. At least I now have the room to start getting the rest of the stuff I need for my NZ saltwater tank now... if i can find the time with every thing else i gota do
  17. Congrats, wishing all the best on this new part of life
  18. After watching that I wish I was still really fit... time to start running again...
  19. Well my other half and I are moving all our stuff to a new flat over today and tomorrow.... Tried to move some stuff all ready but the rain has made it a little tough, the bed and couch are wet (they make the fish look dry  ) But looking forward to setting most of the tanks back up I'll take a few pxt of the tanks being set up later

    Hello

Hello and welcome to the forums

    Hi

Hi and welcome to the forums
  22. wrong time of year I believe to get one of those, unless some one all ready has a tame one to offer. I'm sure you can find them from June / July in there mothers pouch's, but you would probable want one just a bit older than that to tame I've had a pet one before, really funny pets sometimes
  23. I found this site ok at helping tell compatibility http://www.tropicalfishandaquariums.com ... /index.php Some times though its dependent on your fishes individual behavior. Hope this helps
  24. Take some (I normally take 40 - 50%) water out of one of the tanks that the fish are in at the moment, then move your filter over (power heads as well if any) when setting up. As long as you treat the new water first you shouldn't have a problem, use melafix or similar product. Some one else might have another way of doing it but I find this works for me
