Yeah, try doing that. It might grow back with different foilage, but it is a slow growing plant.

I love the second tank. It's exactly what I like to see in a tank I bet the fish are thrilled in there.

I use 4x54W T5HO (powerglos) and 1 x 75W MH (6500K). At the moment 2 of the T5s are not working and will be replaced by the end of this month I'm told. The limiting factor is ferts. I dose with comprehensive and some ferts that I make on my own (Macros and micros). CO2 @ 3-4 bps.

I don't like bitterness. If it were sweet like peaches then I'd like it more. Saw an L018 for $120 which was not bad, but didn't risk driving with it. Apart from that the shop was pretty avg. They had some flash plecos - $120 each as well. Nothing I've seen so far beats HFF and World of Water.

They have electronic ballasts. My GLO (Hagen) unit stopped working 1 month outside its 2 year Guarantee. The supplier is replacing it after a quick email to them :happy2:
