My fish arrived! the water in the bags was so cold, I felt sorry for them. the yellows look happy and the dems look like they were scraping in the bags silly fish. They are all in the tank now. :bounce: terrible pics I know, but ill take a million more when they are happier and know their surroundings well.

soon there shall be fish. i hope the courier dude comes in the morning. my buckets await the fish.

jager or fluval or rena (if you can source one cheaply) wait for a sale. I haven't really used any others. if its a jager 1 300 watt will be sufficient cause those things are monstrously long.

how are the crypts doing? havent melted have they? dave and amy (well amy) gave me the crypts, and since then they grew lots, and went redder and gave many pups which were passed on, so hopefully the original plants will do well too.

if you run the electrics through the floor boards, then all the electrics can be under the tank in an accessible corner in the stand. (check with the insurance company for compliance, etc and all that bureaucratic rubbish). filtration can be under the tank, in the stand too. couple of FX5's and a sump and you should be sweet. (over filter cause then you won't have to spend as much time maintaining the tank - which can be awkward as it will have to be done outside of business hours).
