    It's well buggered. well not unless you are willing to pay for polishing which involves emptying the tank and paying more than it is probably worth. that really sucks man. I always use really old ones with weaker magnets.

    they are not H+ ions, but H30+ ions - the change in pH would be negligible. you do have to run a filter in a tank all the time - it creates water flow. an airpump usually also has to be on all the time if there is no water flow. It is in no way your tanks fault; or the manufacturers.

    About 4 days after they consume their egg sacs. egg yolks works well for the first 4 days after the sacs have been consumed, but as you probably know it can be messy. Are these orandas or comets?

    keep your air pump on. there must always be movement on the water surface, that's how O2 diffuses into the water.

    they are one of the simplest organisms around. live in the water. you feed them, and then you see them :lol:

    yes, i agree with pure strains if you want them. but i can't possibly be against hybrids either. having said that i once bought some yellows that are any thing but so out they go. naming is another story though. only name if you know what they are 100%. tracy&steve - sorry about ruining your thread :lol: (but it is expected in an african breeding thread) makes for good discussion though.
