little is known about the steel blue, but it is a hybrid derived partially (thus the hybrid part) from the original blue / opal borellii.

the plant sold the most is blue hygrophilia. my fav would have to be swords and rotala. species and some mosses, and glosso. actually i like almost all plants. :lol: -

I just hope none of the fish die, that's all. but mainly crypts and more swords, hygro rosanvig.. that sort of stuff. (please please mr. hydrogen peroxide, please don't kill my fish).

well.. it will kill the snails you prob don't want to kill like the golden snails and the blue snails, but not really much else. also kills mussels.

H2O2 treatment today. 35% good lot of bubbles, but now its a waiting game.

cool. i would suggest some sort of fert regime, even if it is under gravel fert tabs, cause once glosso grows well and carpets, it needs some form of nutrition.

that is after a bleach and algae fix dip. Im just waiting for my H2O2 to arrive, the seller said it takes longer to arrive as its a hazardous chemical and cannot be sent via normal courier, but its been a week. pretty much all my plants have gone now, compared to what it was like in my signature line.

I gave the tank a 50% wc today , removed most of the plants and lots of algae. They ate an earthworm today. I went digging for some, and now have them for the discus and the puffers.

yes. it is glosso. wash and put in tank like you would any other plant. Also remember when you take from nature, please do so responsibly. - Not for you in particular, just in general incase any one else finds something they like.

They spawned today. Both have turned black and are defending a clutch of eggs on a sword's leaf. I will not be saving the eggs/ babies as I do not have a spare tank, but any locals that want to rear them are welcome to have them if the plecos do not find the eggs tonight.

That's what happens when people just breed fish as opposed to breed fish with a better trait, like in the wild.
