we have been wanting to make a trip to Hawkes Bay for some time so decided this will be a good time. A visit to the aquarium , a fish show and a weekend away. Perfect
I'm on the wanganui list which we loosely call wanganui fish club and we would welcome any manawatu people to join and/or offer any ideas for combining interest in the regions. Ryan you have the contact list I believe so feel free to contact any of us. Contacting Phil would be a good start as he was the initiator and unofficial co-ordinator. I'm sure he won't mind me bestowing that title on him :-?
they will hatch in about 3 days. If you want to keep the babies you will need to remove the eggs now, rock and all and hatch them in a small tank or container. If you leave the eggs with the parents they will surely be eaten soon after hatching
I rang Palmy Animates to see if they had an FX5 on sale at half price..they did. I battled with myself all day then finally talked myself out of it. I wanted it but didn't need it bad enough to warrant spending the $$$ and making a trip from Wanganui to get it. They only had one in store, did any of you guys score it?
I got one in my 3 footer and he's no problem at all, in fact he's a real character. The only fish he hassles is a hoplo cat twice his size, but its only chasing. I see bristlenose and cats sitting alongside him on the bottom.
Is there anyone in the bottom half of the North Island who makes tanks, preferably not too far from Wanganui. Or just maybe someone has one for sale? I'm considering a 5x2x2
I will keep a few for sale when they get a bit older and yes forum members wil be offered them first. At the rate theyr'e growing, it probably won't be too long.
