I have a breeding pair in a 5 foot tank, their previous owners had them breeding in a 4 footer. But these 2 love each other. I don't know how a couple of strangers would go. I think a bigger tank would be the go.
actually I didn't even bother to rinse it. I put it into the tank just to see how it would look, then when i was ready to set up the tank I couldn't be bothered taking it back out to rinse it. I had no probs at all with it.
does anyone elses tiger barbs float head down and arse up? one has been doing it all day and I thought something might be wrong with him but now 2 or 3 others are doing the same. Our little girl thinks they are just being copy cats.
theyr'e the only fish in there so far. I had doubts about them before I bought them actually, they were always hiding in the lfs too. Should have trusted my instincts. I guess they not used to people
I bought 2 electric yellows from the lfs, put them in my tank and they disappeared behind the rocks and I've hardly seen them since. Its been a week now. What a waste of space.
is it ok to put a single convict into an african tank. It's about a year old and is living in a semi aggressive community tank, so it's a peaceful fish
my rainbow likes to chase away other fish sometimes, seems to depend what sort of mood he's in. He's never hurt anything tho. In fact it's amusing to watch. Livens things up in the tank.
