So people would actually would want these hanging on their walls?
I thought they looked pretty amateur and they look heaps better in the photos than close up.
But if anyone is interested in them i could do sum more. fills in my spare time after work during the week and lazy Sundays
Would anyone buy them cos I wouldn't know what sort of price to put on them...? ideas anyone?
I could even do the fish, plants, rocks etc of your selection if that is what people want.
I think the sheet drawings are 2.6m x 1.0m at a guess. the sheets are folded in half to have a piece to cover it when they are folded up to prevent smudging. (typical queen size sheets)
Dont boil them alive, they make an awful noise if you do, we have always put them in a bucket on fresh water to kill them.
when dead, put them into boiling water for 10mins, just like boiling an egg
they should cook perfect every time.
The pleco
Started a new sheet maybe this thread should be in a different place...? not really technical anymore
My pen has just run out so gotta go get sum more
lol i knew someone would bring that up. They are all good friends and grew up together from when they were just lil pencil drawings
as suggested:
Koura
frontosa stripes darker and oscar darker
added more plants too and a few snails to help with the algae
Ive use 100x50 framing just cos it was cheapest and 1 sheet of 12mm ply. each sheet is 2.4x1.2 so got two pieces to cover the top so total of 24mm screwed together.
Yea i was thinking a 500L/h would do the job
its going to be a frontosa tank so freshwater. i just want enough flow to keep a good downward current towards the bottom to stir up the waste. and with 2-3 outlets it may slow down the flow...?
Ive just made a stand for the new tank being built, 2.0m.
Stand is 900mm high 600 wide and until i get some nice wood to put on the sides and varnish i have improvised lol
I got told off for ruining our sheet. My defense was, "it made it look better"
Peacock and johanni didn't turn out so good but oh well.
Anything you want to see on there or think i should add?
I need a pump for a sump and tank setup
Tank will be 720 litres (2.0m x 0.6m x 0.6m)
Sump is 100 litres
head height for pump will need to be 1.5m min
sump will be fed via overflow pipes drilled into back of tank
My question is... what size return pump (pond pump) will i need? i.e litres/hr
What brands are good.
I'm wanting to also have the pump run 2 or maybe 3 return inlets to create the needed current in the tank to keep the waste moving up to the overflow. So what size return pipes will i need that will suit the pump so i don't get any loss in water pressure from having too big pipe of too many outlets?
Ive done heaps of research on sumps etc and got it all drawn down what I'm going to do but just a few final things i need to know so thought i would ask people that have these setups already.
You can thin it down with thinners, i forget the name and number at the moment but can be thinned down easily. It needs to be thinned down when i use it on my models too, to keep them lite
I think $350-$400 is quite a bit when you can spend $50-$100 on a resin sunken airplane aquarium ornament(mustang i think it is) im sure some people have seen the one im thinking about. and i think its a little over 40cm. JMHO. But i guess you pay more for the great looking details if you want your tank to look good.
yes i agree, my parents have one of these that my mother drives around and it has only lasted 3 years and done hardly any Ks and its starting to pack up already. not the best reliability for a family car.
