  1. His leo are in fantastic condition. Love the fat pockets some of them have under their armpits! Too cute and great to get them through breeding season.
  2. Lol, this has been entertaining! I must say that I wouldn't mind seeing the price come down a tad but loving leo's as I do I believe that $1500 is well worth it. I'd pay $1500 for a LG anyday over a chihauhau and you dont get all the attitude!
  3. I have the knowlegde and experience and am most willing to dedicate the time and effort. It will take quite some time to develop new morphs but it is worth it! With the prices coming down as they are I will be able to get started sometime soon (hopefully ). Need a nice size group to start with. Personally I do not think that culling is necessary, provided the little one in question has a chance at a normal life. Those that are not good for further breeding will need to be homed purely as a pet. Personally I would just keep it and love it! I'm a sucker for these creatures!
  4. I miss all the colour morphs I had

    Thermostats

I agree that you get what you pay for. I am just trying to get used to what things cost here in NZ. I used to make my own incubators in South Africa. The thermostats I got there were very accurate and cost me the equivalent of $15! Lol, just going to have to accept that they are costly here.

    Thermostats

Hi guys and gals Where's the best place to buy thermostats. I have phoned around and they are incredibly expensive. The cheapest seems to be 90 dollars!!!! Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello everyone

    Welcome! Love your avatar
  15. Superworms are great! pity you cant get them here. I used to breed them in South Africa. One adult superworm is worth 10 mealworms! Made feeding so much quicker. I personally preferred that they only turned to beetles once isolated. The colony is easily controlled that way but it is definately more work. They can be a bit creepy for those that are squeemish though! Check out the size difference...here is a mealworm beetle and a superworm beetle next to each other!
  16. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Much appreciated.
  17. I only have the one pair in the tank together, the others are in another tank as they are still too young. I haven't noticed any hectic chasing yet. Do you have oranda?
