    Hello (:

Hey Nicola. Welcome to the forums
  2. Great news bulldog I bet you are very greatful to that dog and its nose
  3. NIce clowns R32 I dropped in to animates and got 6 small silver dollars.
  4. Not much of a big game hunter type but I do have a couple of .22 for getting the rabbits that are around the farm. I also have a few shotguns for the occasional target shooting outing and a winchester .30-30 which never really gets used.
  5. Yep scoop them out and chuck them in your tank and the fish will love them
  6. Thanks neon. Does anyone have an idea about how long it ill take to cycle, I've been adding seachem Stability to the tank for the last 2 days as recommended on the label. Also I was wondering at what time do you think it will be safe start adding a couple more fish?
  7. That was the one lol I just got a green sev for the tank frm HFF, he looks good
  8. Here are some photos I took today... It looks much better in real life 8)
  9. Well I now finally have the tank setup, minus any fish . I'm going to go and get a couple of mollies to cycle the tank with tomorrow (any other recommendations for type of cycling fish?) I'll put some pics up tonight of it all setup. So should I cross BGK off my list of fish to have.... or should I have it while it's young and sell when it gets too big?
  10. Would a BGK be OK with a sev and some silver dollars and would a BGK be able to live out its whole life in a 4fter?
  11. I don't know whether it is arylic or glass but I do know that it can be heated. I had tropicals in a 380 and 126 (both very similar) and never had any melting or any troubles.
  12. haha I've already crossed plants right off my list  I think aragonite would make my pH too high but those rocks are just what I need! I like your ideas dixon, but what types of geo's would u specifically recommend?
  13. Well I finally got my new 4ft tank today It measures 1220Lx610Hx500D. I'm going to be working for a South American large cichlid style tank. As far as the decorations of the tank go, I'm going for small gravel/sand substrate with large rocks and wood. (If anyone could point me to a good place to get rocks and sand from in auckland it will be much appreciated) Anyway, I was wondering if anyone could suggest what I could put in there. So far all I've thought of is 1 Severum and 5-6 Silver dollars. What else do you propose I get? Cheers (edit: wrote wrong size)
  14. http://www.reptilepark.co.nz/ All the info you need is on there
  15. Hey Blossom and welcome to the forums
  16. From memory he/she was in the large outside enclosure with the bearded dragons and water dragons
  17. I think they mean jumbo size but just have very bad english Bad english would also explain why anyone would want to bite a poor angelfish
  18. I just assumed he was talking about the freshwater shrimp
  19. From what I've read older males have a large hump on their forehead and have brighter colors; Males also have a pointed genital papilla.
  20. Yes they can be kept in a cold freshwater aquarium, the setup would ideally have plants of some sort and rocks. If you want them to survive you shouldn't keep them with large goldfish as they will probably get eaten by them. I'm guessing wcmm's would be able to live with them without any troubles.
  21. hope you dont mind me putting up some photos I took at the reptile park bedazzled
  22. cool thanks, I'll go scout around the shops today for some.
