  1. If you're talking 18° then pearl gouramis definitely. Most cichlids should handle it ok too as long as you don't shock them.
  2. Hey! What's this about redspots not having nice coloring that lasts until adulthood?!?
  3. Hmmm, I wonder if there's any way of easily breeding/propogating whatever them?
  4. I have a rock with a bunch of tiny dark red tubeworms. Too bad the f'ing Cyano is doing its best to smother them.
  5. Yeah, they're fine. Catch a bit of debris and eat it, so I guess you could call them good.
  6. Ira

    sagittaria

Might as well put me on the list to get some too.
  7. Let's see...my LFS with marines. MHs:0. Corals are in a little VA tank in the front of the store.
  8. You've probably seen most of the pet store marine tanks. They're basically just a FW tank with saltwater in it. No real lighting, not properly set up for a good reef tank, etc. BTW, what're you doing up so late?
  9. Mystic, more marine tanks run without lids than do have them. Helps keep the tank cooler when you have 500+ watts of lighting over them.
  10. Definitely a pavlovian response. They've trained you well.
  11. Do you often feel the urge to go around singing annoying songs and work in a chocolate factory? Seems there must have been a large oompa loompa colony around here somewhere that completely interbred with humans...
  12. It's not impossible to keep a clown healthy in a tank that size. A lot of people have happy clowns in nanos smaller than that. But, I doubt anyone with enough experience to keep a nano would be buying that.
  13. It is different and it does take longer/forever to remove by bubbling.
  14. My tank's jumped about half a degree, maybe a bit more since I threw in 4 extra small powerheads. I didn't expect them to make that much of a difference. Went and checked the temp this afternoon and it was at 25.9 where before it'd been maxing out around 25.5.
  15. I don't think you'll have any trouble at all getting rid of them, Kyle. Seriously, once they're an inch or two I'll buy a heap of them off you. Maybe a heap for me and a heap for Mystic.
  16. Now taking donations for a 2000 liter marine tank at my house. For the sake of the city of course.
  17. Looks like a gold severum with a bad complexion.
  18. If most of them grow up well I might have to buy a handfull off you.
  19. THe skimmers will be essentially useless on a freshwater tank. Would do a good job of airating the water, but that's it.
  20. You can also try superglue, a fine mesh net, wedging them between some rocks or putting a rock on top of them.
  21. Those have absolutely nothing to do with the tsunami. It's a case of someone putting together a bunch of sea related pictures and sending them around to fool the gullible. To begin with, they would never even notice a tsunami. Check out snopes. http://www.snopes.com/photos/tsunami/creature.asp
  22. I dunno, I haven't checked geonet to see where it was. I think it was around pm anyway. Maybe a bit earlier.
