  1. Hmmm, You're right, doing a search for "outbox" comes up with 79 posts and about 37 different threads referring to this since 2004. So right at every 2 months.
  2. I think if you used the search function you'd have found something like 50 similar threads. This comes up about every second week.
  3. Slate is also metamorphic, originally from shale which is a sedimentary rock made from clay. Schist is more of a structure of metamorphic rock that is highly layered rather than an actual composition.
  4. I know, that's what I'm referring to.
  5. The chat room pretty much died when the people in the chat count in the upper right stopped working ages ago.
  6. Is it? Haha, I guess I've never seen them from that angle before.
  7. Is that some sort of whiptail?

Can't have the lights and fans?
  9. They don't require much water, but I think you'll find they're more active when given generous amounts...
  10. I don't think they do have batteries, not normally anyway.
  11. My brazilian puffer only puffed up once. He was in my hand out of the water after I squeezed him out of the hose end of the gravel vac he'd gotten himself sucked up when I wasn't looking. He was fine. Blew some bubbles and floated around drunkenly for a while after I put him back in the water.
  12. And they're usually pretty pathetic even when it's sunny.

Huh...21°...Looks like I forgot to plug the heater in when I did the water change 2 weeks ago. Plugged back in now. And the other is 27°
  14. Haha, It looks a lot cleaner on the screen at home than at work for some reason. The water looked...Ummm...Very brown and chunky...
  15. *Looks close* You really should flush when you finish. Would have made cleanup a bit easier.
  16. Is there anything actually there? Need a MUCH longer exposure. This one, iirc, I used 2 seconds or so and relatively brightly lit with UV...
  17. Pythagoras is not pleased. You used the wrong sign.
  18. Yeah, I'd say you'll need at least two heaters.
  19. I've seen TVs turned off and on by handheld CBs. Trucks have large powerful radios.
  20. The water will also absorb CO2 directly from the air. Airating with a filter or airstone will add CO2 to the water if it's being absorbed enough by plants to drop it below equilibrium with the air.
  21. I found rubber banding some filter wool around the filter intake and then rinsing it out when it clogged up(every 3-4 hours) cleaned up a tank that you could only see 2-3" into in about a day or so.
  22. Haha, I didn't know you could do that. I usually just manually type in the tags and then copy and paste.
