Thanks, Ihad the Eheim in another tank so its full of good stuff,so not that worried about the bacteria. I have two other tanks i can grab more bacteria from. Its just a pain in the neck. Thought i would go with a good filter and its let me down after only 6 weeks if that. Hubby is going to take it back tomorrow ....I will just have to keep changing the water and fingers crossed my clown loaches ,frontosa and parrots will be ok . Its not over stocked so i'm really hoping it will be ok .... :facepalm: :facepalm: :facepalm:

Does anyone have inside info as to how long its likely to take to get the filter fixed. Husband has done the maintenance as per instructions he thinks its the motor ...

Thanks, i will do that and i have an Ehiem pro to use, better than nothing i have added an air stone.

In panic mode here , my new FX5 (bought Jan 2012 )has stopped working,husband thinks the motor has burnt out. Bought from HFF. So looks like a mad dash there asap .Any idea as to what may have happened. Water changes here we go :evil: :evil:

We went to Ti Reptile Park today,what an amazing place.Talk about a hidden GEM. The tortoises were the best part. I had no idea there were so many different kinds of Skinks and Geckos in our wonderful country. I will add some photos once i have downloaded them etc :thup: :thup: :thup:

As title, are there any easy care living plants i could use in my tank that tropical fish don't eat?? Inhabitants are Clown loaches, Parot fish ,tin foil barbs ,black widows, ghost knife fish . Lighting is yet to be decided ...Sand is the substrate Thanks Gill
