  1. Yeah I'm aware my tanks too small but I was planning on getting a 360-400L tank once they grew a bit more. There hasn't been any bullying issues in the tank actually. My Parrot is the king and EBJD is the second toughest guy and he doesn't get bullied much if any. I'll try the turning off lights thing and hope it works. Cheers!
  2. Hello Guys! I have a 220L tank and just started looking after South American Cichlids. All my fish are 8-10cm at the moment. I have a Blood Parrot, Gold Severum, Blue Acara, EB Jack Dempsey and a pair of Angels. There is not much aggression in the tank as there are many hiding places but my biggest concern is my EBJD. I have had him for 1 week now and I have only seen him eat once and that was when I feed my fish their weekly blood worms treat. Any idea why he wont eat? I feed my fish NLS tropical flakes and Tetramin Crisps and they all love it except for my EBJD. I managed to get some other food from my friend like JBL novo sinking tablets, NLS pellets and Nutrafin pellets and the EBJD still wont eat them. I am open to suggestions. Any advice is much appreciated.
  3. Does anyone here in New Zealand have these Angels? I have been to most of the pet shops in South, East & Central Auckland and none of them have these coloured Angels. I would appreciate if someone could tell me where I could get them. Cheers!
  4. Hi guys! I have started this hobby 2 months ago. My wife doesn't like dogs and i have been asking for a pet so she got me a fish tank Now i am hooked to this hobby and i dont want a dog anymore. I have a 90L fish tank. I have 6 angels and 3 bristlenose pleco's. I may have to buy a bigger tank when they all grow up but they all seem happy for the time being. here is a photo of my tank. cyah around guys!
  5. So I bought a fish to a pet shop to swap for another one but they noticed it had white spots on it. So they said it was sick and I needed to treat it with methylene blue. So I bought the stuff ad they said to follow the instructions. So I have a 90L tank so I put in 4.5mls of methelyne blue in the tank and my tank turned blue. The guy in the shop said I should put in the recomended dose everyday for 2 weeks and do a 30% water change every 7 days. So, I have a few questions. 1. Was the instructions given to me correct? 2. Will the Methylene Blue leave stains in my tank that will require me cleaning it? 3. Will the Methylene Blue harm my fish that are not sick? ( I have pleco's and angels) Thanks a bunch guys!
