  1. I can get the 2litre bottle for around $6o.
  2. Thought to show my latest babes, at 11weeks these are VT babes from 2 red parents, the Dad had a transparent frame on the edge of his tail.... of particular interest is the only red babe, started off as orange.
  3. Nice fish, not sure how rare they are, maybe rare in that the colours are quite different? The female is bloody lovely!! Maybe the more experienced breeders can shine some light?
  4. He may go the Neons, have seen my own fighters chase, kill and eat Neons, maybe I should feed them more??? Some books also mention this. However, I know few people that have them together without any worries at all.

    How long

Good work Cam, another good food is the decap brine that Blue and Kim supply..... still got over half of mine left from earlier in the year.... feed less and a great source of protien. Keep up the good work, and of course we all expect photos when they get older.

Amen to that Adodge......with all that you also have the 'pecking order', which I have seen defined at a very early age. Guess it's fair to say that they can also change colour as they mature as many of mine have done so.... very exciting stuff.
  7. When they are ready for selling, long aways I know, I would be quite keen on getting some, get some different genetics working in my mix.
  8. Great stuff!!! Look forward to seeing them as they grow older.....makes sense having less babes.
  9. WOW the yellows are cute!! Love the CT.... good work!!! How many yellows did you end have having?
  10. Seems to be growing, obviously not as fast as the others but holds his/her own against the other siblings.... also gives the snails attitude often!! Will take photos someday soon, maybe when he/she gets bigger and can all have a good look at the mystery of One-Eye. Randoms probably doesn't do the gene pool any favours but colours are lovely.... had 1-2 marbled ones and loved them like a Mother....gave the cats a break!!!
  11. Hahaha nah your all good.... I do the same to you  This was a small brood to start with and only have 7, this is the same brood as "eye one", who is doing very well. I think that's one of the downfalls of fighters is that they are quite slow to grow when conpared to other fish breeds, still gotta love how random their colours can be sometimes :-?
  12. Thanks once again  They almost the same size as the yellows... little piggies.
  13. Here are some new photos of the babes as aged 10weeks tomorrow. Can see some awesome crowning. Pretty boy..... seems like he's the only one so far.
  14. Oh sounds interesting...... it's on my todo list. Cheers.
  15. I look forward to that..... might have to hit you up for a nosey next time I'm home
  16. Cheers dude, do you have GBA in the shed or other fishes? Any chance of a pix? Cheers.
  17. This is my first time at breeding GBA and the results are great! After having my new little girl for less a week my boy was very interested and the result is 11 little baby GBA, took them out of the community tank today (bar one that wanted to stay)... fighters were getting a bit nosey. Big thanks to KtttK for the female GBA.
  18. Yip another yellow fighter update...... 12weeks on Sunday and they are looking very fit and healthy, llittle male has been making impressive bubble nests.
  19. Stink to hear but can happen often..... I'm the self appointed master of algae..... guilty of overfeeding  Anyway, am due to take some cuttings from my 4ft tank so will have some Polysperma, Ambulia, stargrass and maybe some others..... flick me a PM if your still interested... these don't have algae and are dosed with flourish excell on a weekly basis, sometimes more.... not to mention the ambient light they get. Yeh.
