  1. You may be right, but treating for worms, especially given that she was so fat(and still fat byOP description) and being that she hasn't been treated (as far as I can gather?) , and the male was (obviously for a reason) made me jump to this first. Try one then the other I think. just give them a couple days between treatments. Its really hard to tell with anything internal, it becomes abit of hit and miss. All i can really say more, is good luck with treatment, and hopefully one or the other will sort them out...
  2. If the female wasnt dosed, do them both again, she may have been hosting and re-infestation can happen quickly if one is holding the parasite. I stil think give them a feeder like guppy over next couple days, entice them owt at least to give u a chance to look over them.
  3. Try a feeder fish to entice them. If they stil not eating in newt few days,, probably internal. Watch for any signs that could point out worms such as protrusions. Her "fat with eggs" may be an un detected infestation. Droncit to worm them both may be on the cards. Or any wormer with praziquantel. Ask your vet. Search the forum for dosage and instructions.
  4. I am in the process of going marine, so i dnt have much to show atm. But Living art is well worth visiting. [/shamelessplug]
  5. Probably cooling off, chek tank temp?? Throw a couple guppies in thea as feeders, bet they wont say no.
  6. 1)Go get it yourself/with parent in hire van. 2)Take saved muni and buy a new pane and do it while tank dry. 3)never worry about it again. Also, rerun the tank safety factor with depth only 0.5.

  13. The slight increase in flow is not equal to the value it is to have longer hose, when you work on canister, and, you may not neccesarily using that exact setup for the life of the canister. i.e moving to another tank if/when u upgrade to another filter or tank.
  14. I like to think there is a special kind of hell for scum like that. May their nether-regions be infested with the fleas of 1000 camels...
  15. To be clear- Mercury is toxic in large doses, but due to it not being able to be excreted and is helb in teh tissues, can build up. There is so little mercury in a thermometer, it shouldn't be an issue in terms of exposure for teh small amount of time that you had it in there, unless a fish were to ingest it, and even then, would take a decent amount to be toxic. so panic factor should be 0
  16. I have several that have mercury in them still, so "decades" is obviously a hyperbole... The red dye is sat on top of a bed of mercury, and moves in relation to the thermo-expansion/ contraction of mercury in the base.
  17. B Other than that, Seems you're on the right track!
