  1. yeah i know, even a pen is theft. as of now we still dont know why, but i am urging her to find out if she can. im sure she would remember if she did something serious. shes not a younger person so not as likely to do something like skip work for 4 days etc. so if she documents everything and it turns out that the dismissial (if that what it turns out to be) wasnt done right she can legal action?
  2. yeah, how on earth can you defend yourself if you dont know what its about! when i had to deal with this in my last job i had to give date/place/time/reason/evidence/chance to change meeting time if needed, all written in a letter for the employee. but in this case it hasnt happened. surely this isnt right. i honestly cant see how it is, if it is thats just stupid and unfair. esp for someone who has worked for a company for 8 years, gets bugger all pay rises, never complains ALWAYS does her job to the best of her ability, does extra hours, copes with all the new systems and things they throw at her and THIS is how they repay her? ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!! :an!gry
  3. yeah, she has been told to bring a support person along. pity i cant be there with her! we live 10 hours drive away from each other! livingart, thanks for the link
  4. true, i have done a little research though. this isnt for me, although ive had to deal with this before i wanted to check what others thought. someone i know has been told that she has commited serious misconduct and has been called to a meeting. thats it. no further information. to me this is wrong? am i right?
  5. hi all when dealing with misconduct or serious misconduct you have to give written notice of meeting and reasons dont you? :dunno:

  16. ive found demand feeding is better for my girl. babies tend to cluster feed early evening so they can sleep longer at night. i have also found that if i wake her before she is ready she gets seriously grumpy and it is also hard to get her to feed and she tends to fall asleep while feeding. i know different things work for different babies but thats just what ive found.
  17. hi all, just a quick update.... went to osteopath on monday, he said her hip was tight, he loosened it off, tried to do some other things but she started screaming, for what reason i dont know but the monday night sleep was much better, was 2 lots of 3hours, so thats better than the weekend. tuesday she didnt hardly sleep in her bassinet, but did a few short sleeps in it. that night she slept 12.30am til 5.30 (yes it was a late night but atleast she slept) wednesday not sleeping much in her bassinet either, but we are getting there. that night she slept 12am until.....7am!!! i couldnt believe it, i was blown away when my partner got up for work and she was still asleep. then after her feed she went back down 8.30am to 11.30am. she never used to go back down alone after 6am... HUGE step forward. many people and plunket have told me to try feed/nappy change/feed/play then wrap up and pop into bed.... it works a treat for me.................... now its just getting her to sleep alone during the day!
  18. trying to bottle feed her, but shes not taking it well
