+1 on Ambulia. Probably the easiest stem plant to grow from my experience. Java Fern and Java Moss are very easy to grow like Sam said. Also Echinodorus bleheri, Cryptocoryne willisii, affinis, balansae and cordata, Sagittaria sp. and Indian fern are also very easy to care for. Keep in mind though that all of those except for the Indian fern are root feeders and need root fertilization, especially Echinodorus sp.

I created a thread to show his growth progress on Apistogramma.com, which you can view here. Here's the latest photos that I took last night

I completely agree Sam

The only liquid I ever drink is water, and occasionally tea  I took a whole lot of photos last night of my male Super Red cacatuoides

For No. 1, I'd choose the Wii because I've always never seen the point in computer games but I love the Wii because it gets you active and off the floor. When I was in Christchurch once at my mum's friend's place they had one and I played on it for a bit. I don't own one, and I don't own any other gaming devices (never have, never will) but I have used a Playstation or an Xbox before (I can't remeber which) but I became incredibly bored with it very quickly because all I was doing was sitting on the floor pressing buttons on the little controller device thingy and it was pretty pointless. For No. 2 I assume by Android you mean an Android phone? For that matter I have never used a mobile phone in my life except a couple of times to call someone. So I will just use computers instead. I prefer Microsoft because I find it a lot more user-friendly than Apple and the Apple computers at school always seem to have problems with them, but the Microsoft computers I've used before have been amazing.

Hahaha I just looked at Henri and it was hilarious :rotf: Have you seen Simon's Cat?

!drool: Thanks for posting that link

Sophia, if you like cats you must check out Catface by Weeble on YouTube. It's an animated series about a cat with a huge head that floats everywhere

Maybe an idea to help keep costs down for a show would be for people to bring their own tanks/equipment if they are able to do so, and that way you would only need a few tanks for those who aren't able to bring their own stuff

:slfg: I suppose I would specify "normal" as whatever the majority of people are that behave the same and are interested in similar things e.g. most of the guys at my school are interested in sport and computer games.

Spectacular photo Excellent work  What camera/lenses are you using?

I suppose the way I saw it was that you asking "How can you not like it?" made me think that I was supposed to/should like it, and throughout my life the majoity of kids my age and even a lot of adults thought that was weird that I didn't like sport, and it is like they didn't understand that just because they really like it and are extremely passionate about it, it doesn't mean that every single person on the plant feels the same way and I was kind of upset that they thought I was really weird just because my interests were a little bit different. Maybe a better way of phrasing you question would be "Why don't you like it?". But then again my mind works differently to a lot of people and I always find myself analysing every little detail of everything, including what people say and how they say things. When I was little I had trouble reading facial expressions and what tones in people's voices meant. I could tell what happy/sad/angry/confused/thinking was, but that was about it. Since then I have become better at it, but simply by the way someone phrases a question I can see it quite differently and give a different answer. I am very strange :slfg:

Oh right I see what you mean I was thinking that you weren't going to be using any filtration at all, just the stuff in that picture :slfg:

Good work Anthony :bounce: What cories are they? Also it wasn't meant to be a rant as such, I was just discussing my views on a point. I do not mean to upset or offend anyone

Maybe you should just use a canister filter with good flow like a Fluval FX5 and put the intake at one end of the tank and the outtake at the other? That way you still get the river effect but the water gets filtered at the same time

I do do drawings occasionally but no I do not write poems. My main interests are photography, cooking and of course aquariums. Yes I suppose you could say I am reclusive, and I don't socialize well with other people. I do not share any interests with anyone at my school, and I mainly have conversations with older students and teachers, and the few friends that I have (only in class time though when they are not out playing games at lunch time). Most of the sports I tried were when I was at primary school. They did not help with my development at all. When I was a little kid I would go to the library and pick out large non-fiction books about reptiles and insects and stuff like that and read them cover-to-cover. And you need to remember, just because a lot of people like sport it do not mean that everyone likes it. Like I said, I have NOTHING against physical activity. It is excellent. I just really don't like sport because it is competitive, and even non-competitive sports I still do not enjoy. I don't like games at all really. What you say about it bringing people together etc. is all very true. But sport isn't for everyone. Also I realize that you were referring to playing cricket not watching it. I personally would much rather go for a two hour walk up the hill in the late afternoon and take some photos rather than be running around under the scorching sun hitting balls with sticks all day. Either way I would still be getting exercise. It's just about personal preference. If we were all the same, the world would be boring. But my point is that it I don't really like it when people who are really in to sport ask questions like "How can you not like sport (cricket as you specified)" and think that everyone likes/should like sport. Everyone is different. When I talk about something I like and someone else isn't interested in it, I just accept the fact that they are a different person, with different interests and a different personality. Doesn't mean I still can't get on with them. Not all teenage boys are interested in being the best at sport and winning lots of trophies etc. I am not a sports fanatic, and never will be. I prefer to do my own thing. This does not mean that I am not doing anything to improve my fitness and cognitive behaviour and health. In fact I'm possibly the healthiest person at my school (not the fittest though) - I do not drink soft drinks, juice, or alcohol, I don't eat things like cereal or muesli bars or pretty much any shop-bought baking, I don't eat chips, lollies and most crackers, and I don't eat any highly processed foods. I eat a lot of salads and cooked meals that I make myself, and I only eat wholemeal and grain bread and pasta. To a lot of people like myself, it is just "pfffft sport". Because we hear so much about it all the time, and we aren't really interested in it and don't want to have anything to do with it. There are a lot of people out there who just think "pffft, fishkeepers". See where I'm coming from?

Actually that's not entirely true Sam, you need to allow for the thickness of the glass

I don't mind people who enjoy playing sport with some mates for a bit of fun and excercise. But it kinda annoys me when TV shows are delayed/not played because of sport, when people harp on about it all the time, when PE at school is just learning sports skills and playing sports games, when people get violent and have arguments over sport, when people's lives depend on who wins what game, when people assume that everyome else likes sport, and when people say "How can you not like sport?". There's so much more to life than sport.

You're in Christchurch. Lucky you! Go and see Cam at Petwold. He makes the best tanks for the best prices. I have got all of my tanks made by him. I highly recommend getting tanks from Petworld. The quality is superb and the customer service is excellent.

It's just people hitting a ball with a stick. Big deal. :yaw2: In my opinion pretty much all sport is over-rated and pointless, and I find it incredibly boring and uninteresting. Lets take a random sport... How about basketball? You throw a ball in a basket - yeah, you score a point, your team might win, you might have had to learn lots of skills/tactics to beat the other team, you might get a dust collector, and possibly you might get paid millions to run around and bounce a ball up and down like any little kid could do. But what does that really achieve in life? But hey if sport floats your boat then that's fine  Also that's not to say that I don't like doing anything physical; I've been mowing the lawns, and I have been going walking (but not as much as I should. It's just been so hot lately. I need to go walking in the evening more). Sport is something that I can't comprehend and I have never managed to make sense of. I've tried loads of sports and been bored to death my all of them and I just don't see the point in sport. I really love this website :happy2: It sums up exactly how I feel! http://www.sportssuck.org/index.htm
