    ok i cant put them with my dicsus.what temp are they can handel. . so if you got peat spawners why cant you make a tank tidal is that possbel so you had a shallow end with a depth end. one end of a tank has a shelf where the peat is shoon as they spawn drop the water level.will that work or not.iv got a turtel tank 1200*600*600 spare with a shelf in it . also do the eggs need that time out of the water to inkerbate or not /// cheers ant

    can you put killies in with dicus . the tank full planted tank the size is 1500*540w 700h running at 26 .temp.ph 7 to 6.8. being running for two years. i guess im interresed in all types of fish i like to kown how they work etc . i like the king killie at the show. are they easy to optain cheers ant cheers barrie i will give you a call when im back up in auckland. and thank you it gives me a better understanding of the little fish.

    how long do killies live for also it has me confuse if killies need peat to breed ini guse that they come out of the water to breed or do you have to make it tidal then so they can lay there eggs then.

    at lest you guys got your plants as my have trun up yet.i dont think it take 3 weeks to get plants from wellington they kown who they are. i got some plants from the southisland it took 3 days to get to me and ex plants.so you south guys got my vote.

    the rocks are river rocks they are heaps of them in river down hear .also i got a mates brother who owns a qurry wicth i can get slabs of rock thats sand stone or granite.if i whant to. size is to how big i can carry.the bigges

    i whant to make a rock backing with heps of caves does any one know of how to make holes in rock /as i can get big rocks.any help will be helpful cheers ant also slaps of rock.

    also most people wash there filters out with the hose which kill most of the bacteria in there filters.it all rigth to if you got two filters on your tank but if you got one i whould suggest that you clean you fillter with your tank water as this will not kill the bacteria in your filter sponges as much..

    may be not a nuff bacteria in the tank to clear the water . if it was me i whould leve the filter a lone.to built up a nuff bacteria in it. also add some filter wool to your filter as this is finer.i run two exturnals on my five foot tank one filter gets clean ever six months.so they do a 12 month cycle. i do 25%water change a week.

    david they are cool i like the one that black and yelow fins with them can i add to my seven foot tank with my largth gourami. do they pleck on plecs as i have a 500 long red spot and 450l gold nught.

    the tank is 1800*600h*700w how many years dose it take to reach maturity.bichir? i dont mind if it take a year to reach breeding what a uaru.s??? bgk maybe.

    all types of fish.but my after something diffarnt to try breeding.over the years iv breed goldfish/plates/bn catfish/and other types.i whant sometype of fish that noone has breed before.or may have breed before but not alot of them around??cheers ant. any such grested of fish?? i thorgth of nz fish.maybe.??

    if you can get the mottled pointed tail gourami[malpultta kretseri} or bluebeard{nomorhamphus celebensis} in nz as im looking for something diffrent or apossable to breed.

    when i had goldfish with that proelem.iuse take out of the tank into a container with a nuff water to cover him and a air stone so he can sit up rigth to give him time to equalize him sefl. i find water fleas use to help with constiaion. also gold fish are little gluttons.so i feed once a day ever second day.and a enough food that they can eat in five minutes. also give a bit of greens and some dry food as well. a hungry fish a happy fish

    a shop that sell marines. do reefs set up do you need a lot of ligthing ?? now much water movement do i need for that size tank ??
