ive got a discus that does the same.hes be like that from the first time i got he.ive had him four years now.he comes out went im feeding but does take the food when im near the tank.he wait intll im away form the tank.the other two discus eat out of my hand iv had them for a year now.may he just shy when you are near the tank.

its being running for a two years with out any troubles.nitrate is o.ph is 7.temp is 27.ive had the large blue discus for four years now.water changes ever two weeks.

ive got a fully plant tank.1500*700h*540w tank in it is plattys two blue groumars.bristel noses two angles. and one larger blue discs and two samler discs.can i add more disics and how many at full grow size. the fillters are two exturnal about 500l h per fillter.

when i had my knife i feed he tetras and home made food that i feed all my fish with beef heart/peas/bananas/garlic for to keep the bugs away.mix all in the blender to a puree.use sandwich bag flatted and freeze.when i feed my fish ever sec day.{a hungry fish a happy fish}even had a problem with eat or disease. :bounce: DBL Post Removed. ive got a gaint gourami with a red spot plec.im getting a larger tank for them hopefuly between 800 to 1000 litres.can put any other fish in with them.gouram is 500l the plec is 400l.

daiveb i thougth about a salt tank.how woud you set up a tank thats 1200*600*600.what sort of ligthing need for a reef rocks etc.can you use normal sand off the beach.how much filtration need.

ive being doing fish for about six years.ive started with a two foot tank of goldfish.ive got now a five foot tank with full of plants and discus and angels/plattys/blue gouramis/tetras/and heaps of bristles nose cat fish. the tank is 1500l*540w*700h running two ex/filters temp about 27.water change 10% ever two weeks.the anther tank is 1200*600*600 and thats got a gaint gourami hew about 500long with out tail and he share his tank with a red spot plec hes 450 long with out tail.im start to look for a new tank for he hopefuly a tank 2000*700*750 tank.with a sump set up. :bounce: :bounce: the 1200*600*600 tank will be come a cold water set up may be goldfish tank again.
