  2. hi guys, yes i do tend to talk too much when it comes to any animal topic or even just about life in general we do have an account with the national bank it is Living Art - 06 0491 0064112 25 this is for the butterfly house and other future projects we have had donations of a few food parcels to save me eating any more "weetbix" we are still working on a plan to subdivide some sections on the park to sell and get rid of the mortgages it is only one mortgagee who is pursuing us - 2 days to D day so may get something done in that time to all those that have helped even with your thoughts and words THANK YOU VERY MUCH from us both and all the animals
  3. welcome to the forums sadly animals/fish like humans can have their preferences for people even exhibiting jealousy over a person at least things are back to normal
  4. that is expensive but then breeding a constant supply of shrimp and mysis might be expensive or was that to cover the cost of a boat for collecting the food in the wild costs me 2 hours every 2 weeks to collect mysis and shrimp locally about a 20 litre bucket full

  to the point and totally correct
  7. i never take anything personally DJ as we are all entitled to our opinions and are free to express them totally agree with the sentiments expressed about inexperienced keepers and certain species ie: crawl before you walk before you run
  8. try the waimapu stream luke or any stream emptying into the habour kaituna too
  9. IMO keeping a sea dragon in a tank would be as immoral as keeping seahorses in a tank, all relative to the size of the tank and being able to supply live food for them til they can be adjusted to frozen food have had them before, not the leafy ones but the bigger one that trawlers bring up sometimes there are maybe more around than have been recorded as they are so hard to find with their camouflage maybe the little thing you found was a weedfish there are several species found in coastal water, young sea dragons look the same as adults just with smaller appendages
  10. campbell live filming tuesday showing wednesday night better go to the op shop for a suit to wear or i could just dig out the big shoes and old clown tramp outfit good idea bedazzled the original plan was to get rid of mortgage and gift the place to a charitable trust so that it could always stay here for the local community

  14. if you catch a fish in nz waters that is not under the quota system i imagine it will be legal to keep as there is no law to cover it and you didn't import it illegally
