  1. All livestock in now to keep an eye on water parameters over the next few weeks
  2. Have added another sump to house skimmer and return pump, this sits under the bigger tank at the back, will take out the trickle filter and add an algae scrubber then turn first compartment into a refugium.
  3. Put tank in place at the end of the 1700 litre tank which is 1.2 metres wide. Moved everything from the small tank over, pair of Mandarins and pair of Bangai. will add more live rock next Then add another sump onto it

    Welcome aboard and back to the hobby.
  5. Any ammonia is too much for the fish do a 50% water change at least it will halve the ammonia.I would do a 25% water change every second day untill the ammonia is 0 Shouldn't have a fish in a tank with ammonia present
  6. Tank holds water yay thinking of running trickle filter and algae scrubber on this.
  7. 2 trickle towers, undecided on what to do with them yet Took out front overflow and plugged hole Added another durso to back overflow, rust proofed stand and added 4x2 timber base
  8. Already done a tidal tank, doing this to hold a friends fish for awhile. stripped down tank from top Stainless steel stand was rusty

  10. Purchased this off Trade me Tank 1.3m x 80cm wide x 60cm high, 2 overflows one in front corner other at back. 2 sumps 70cm x 60cm x 50cm high with trickle filters on top Also on top was another tank 1.3m x 40cm x 60cm high
  11. Yes the old set up was a pearler, how do you think the clowns will get on with the Jardini?
  12. Parazoanthus elongates, the yellow zoanthid anemone, a common species around NZ subtidal reefs down to 50 m depth. It forms colonies which are often found growing over sponges or corraline algae. Mark Paterson
  13. Your painted and reeves will need heat during winter also those 2 have different swimming abilities Depending onamount of frosts but the red ear should hibernate outside so long as it can dig in somewhere if needed

  15. Yes it does well under good lighting, helps soak up nutrients as well
  16. Nice start to the saltwater set up, Cats eye snails and kina can clean out your rimu.
  17. 1.5 x 1 metre one houses Purple. Yellow. Sailfin. Naso and Clown Tangs with Rega plus Majesticl Angel, Foxface, Niger Trigger and pair of Maroon clowns
  18. 90cm is okay if you can get to the back of the tank by getting behind it or able to lean on the top of it, I have 3 tanks, 90cm, 1 metre and 1.2 metre but am abe to access the back of each thankfully to move rock. see behind it etc.
